If you capture the horse ans whistle while you are riding the captured horse, your horse will follow you. If you're on another horse, you can also hold LT when looking at your horse and there should be a follow command option.

except for it helps not keep too much money on you in case you get caught or killed or something.
So if you have a lot of money on you, say a couple thousand, and you get caught or killed you lose it? If you put money in the camp funds can you get it back out later?

Yes, if you get caught or killed you lose a good portion of what money you have on you.
I don't think you can pull money out of the camp funds. So the best thing to do is to wait to sell things unless you realize you need something.
And I hate this thread and the reason why open-world games take so long. I need to stay focused on the yellow story missions, but then I see other posts on here about different side missions or things to do and I spend two hours not advancing the story at all

You can't take the money back out as cash, but you can use the money in there to re-stock on ammo and provision and tonics. I'm not saying just dump everything in there you have, but carrying a ton of cash on you is a recipe to lose it all if you aren't careful.
If you have a bunch of items you can sell, best to just hold onto them until you actually need to spend the money.

Just use the lasso?
Yea, lasso the wild horse, walk up to it and calm it down. Then mount it and tame it and it will become yours.

If I think this is about to happen, I hurry up and pause and reload the auto-save.

Yea, the amount of times my horse has just clipped the wheel of a passing carriage and just thrown me forward has been insane. Every time my horse falls I laugh my arse off. The animation when the horse starts sliding on a steep slope is pretty funny/cool they added in.

Black guy in the “New Orleans” area just called crawfish, “crayfish”.... this game is dead to me now.

I played a little on my lunch break and started heading to the lake to try and get the white arabian horse. Of course I've already killed a few people on the way. Poor lady got kidnapped but I was busy skinning an elk, so by the time I loaded it on my horse I lost her. Some other guys told me to mind my own business so I killed them and the witness.

Learned to always carry dynamite around. Killed two guys trying to bust open a safe and I had no way to open it myself. Oops.

Has anyone else found the comic book or whatever it is for the little boy, Jack? I randomly stumbled across it but now I can't find the kid anywhere in camp to give it back and collect whatever cool prize he's gonna give me.

Had about six O'Driscolls blocking a bridge with a wagon shooting at me. Threw one stick of dynamite, which killed all six guys and both horses pulling the wagon. Love me some dynamite.

Dynamite is always your friend.
Also, if you run up to enemies and just pull RT without aiming, it will do a cool kill animation to them. Fun to do with stragglers of an encounter.

Haha! I walked away and after they opened it shot them and took the money, only like $40.00 in it so don't feel bad. Then I sold their wagon for another $15.
Found a farm where a "couple" lived. Went in and things got hairy. *Spoilers* got some good cash when it was all said and done.
The last 10 hours of play I have done literally nothing but hunt and save people.

Fun fact. Dynamite is great at killing a bunch of fish at once

Yeah I found the comic book and gave it to him. The reward is pretty shitty so don’t beat yourself up over it if you can’t find him.

I should probably do more saving people. My morality lives in the red.
