Oh..... so I learned a valuable lesson. Had a level 4 horse as my pack horse following me. Ended up getting separated from him and was out of whistle range and needed another horse to get a legendary wolf back to town so I befriended a new horse..
And lost my awesome level 4 beauty

You can shoot lamps and things that will explode. Found that out the hard way. Saw a red barrel that looked like it would explode but didn’t have any explosive ammo.

Yeah they do. I STILL haven’t gotten to Mexico. I think ima hurry up and finish the main story and get it finished. Then start over and do a full first person, no map, no aim assist, immersive run

Just turned off HDR and wow what a difference. I thought the game looked good before and now it looks amazing.

Anyone got the white Arabian yet? It's insanely fast. And I'm in the camp of being ok with the wanted system. It does get crazy hard to pay my bounty down when the hunters chase me everywhere. 
What's crazy for me is that I find myself constantly second guessing every little side mission (killing or letting live) because I have no idea if it's going to affect me later. Like the Nate and his dad Catfish Jackson one. I actually googled it because it seemed like it might go deeper.

Bunch of minor hints and tips, several hidden mechanics.
1. Hold the [] button to fully loot something without stopping. Those multidrawer shelves and shite, just hold down the loot button (square on PS4) and you will loot the whole thing, including picking up all the items. It's still slow but way, way better than what I was doing before.
2. Hold the O button to cancel out of the menus back into the game. When you're deep in the menus you don't have to go back page by page to the game, if you hold the cancel button (O on ps4) you can instantly return to the game from anywhere in the menu. Same is true for vendor menus.
3. You can F up side quests by killing NPCs or being hostile too soon. I missed out on a really cool home robbery sidequest because I had my mask on when I went to the house (figured I'm robbing it why not) but that caused the NPC not to talk to me and initiate the event. Instead I indeed up aggroing and killing him.

Holy hell, someone help me. I did exactly what I was supposed to do with the St Denis gunsmith. I knocked on the metal door, which opened up the ability to rob the poker game. I pointed my gun at him and he started shooting at me. I ended up killing the dude. Now the gunsmith location is locked and has been for a day or so. Am I screwed?

I did. It didn't end well and it doesn't seem to have any real purpose though I keep thinking maybe there's some advanced gun or something I can loot.
