What's y'all's favorite ammunition type?
-split point
-express
-explosive
-high velocity
I think express is the best everyday round

It’s mission related so you’ll deal with it eventually
As to ammo. Express all the way. Only gun worth using explosive on is your rifles. Explosive round headshots are funny

I figured that. Any good weapons hidden there?

The controls are absolute shite in this game.

The controls are clunky but once you get the lock on mechanic down and translate it it becomes second nature.
But it's very clunky I'll agree to that

Controls being clunky and the slow first few hours are my only complaints so far. This game is still a 10/10

I've come to the conclusion that this game is incredible.... But not for me.
I'm about 32% through in Chapter 3 and keep waiting for it to grab me and make me feel like I can't put it down and it really hasn't. The constant horse travel really takes its toll after a while...the game is so big that I know it will be tough for me to finish it, I don't want to spend a bunch of time riding a horse. The missions all feel pretty similar and even though they are for the main story many don't do a lot to progress it. At this point in the game I robbed a bank and made a shite load, to the extent that I don't really care about getting more money as I already have a badass gun and have bought all of the camp upgrades. Could not care less about the outfit I'm wearing or the saddle on my horse. But yet here are some more "main mission" quests to get more money that I don't need.
It's a gorgeous game, don't regret my purchase but I doubt I'll ever finish it.

I’d say that’s a pretty fair write up. It’s kind of like Breath of the Wild in the sense that one of, if not the main point of the game is to just get lost exploring the gorgeous world they created. If that’s not your cup of tea then it’ll be hard for the game to grab you like you said. Also the story plays like a Tarantino movie and is pretty damn awesome even if some of the missions can get repetitive.

My thoughts exactly. I wish I would have purchased a physical copy so that I could trade in.

I don't usually like Rockstar games. But I love Arthur and will see his story to the end. Just got to Saint Denis and chapter 4.
Spoiler
Chapter 3 plays out like The Patriot. It's epic

So now my obsession has switched to figuring out the serial killer side quest without googling the location. I have all the pieces of the map, and the location looks familiar but I haven’t been able to find it yet.
Are there any theories as to what the little abandoned town Pleasance is all about? I almost feel like it’s tied to undead nightmare I’m some way, but obviously that hasn’t happened yet.

I always buy the physical copies just for this reason. I never understood NOT buying physical copies but I guess I just like having the box.

Have you guys come across Lafitte's and Commander's Palace in Saint Denis yet?

Bastards killed my white arabian. I'm too lazy to go find another one, so I've just been using the war horse lately.
I've also learned that committing murder close to town is a bad idea if you don't want a bounty. The witnesses I had to kill just kept getting closer and closer to town. Eventually I was in a shootout with everyone.

Yea I've kept my white arabian stabled for a while, not risking it dying. Bought the black one from the Saint Denis stables if I need one, but been using the thoroughbred mostly.

it's like the assassination scene in Berserk where Guts just keeps getting spotted and has to just slaughter everyone

I'm still early chapter 2 (just did stealth mission at the cabin) bc I've had so little time to play this game (working on massive 1000+ drawing project at work). I'm gonna really try to make some headway this week

Yea all you Louisiana guys are really going to enjoy exploring Saint Denis. Lots of buildings there that are modeled after New Orleans as seen above. I've spent hours just riding around and exploring it.
