Love everything in that blog post.
One thing I didn’t see that I was hoping for was a more update depth chart to reflect today’s game. Everyone having the same depth chart and same positions is useless if you are touting a 134 ways to play mentality. We need EDGE for defensive pass rushers, A and B backs for the Paul Johnson option, safety/LB hybrids that every team has a different name for. I don’t really care what they call the positions, but I’d love to have a 3-4 defensive depth chart that is set up differently than a 4-3, 4-2-5, etc.

I get what you're saying but that could get incredibly complex but I would have to assume they would integrate the Madden mechanics with tendencies for certain styles of play.

we’ll have the final verdict in July but..
Hard to say without playing it, the biggest issue with modern Madden is how the game feels to play, like when running it almost feels like your on ice, hard to do the small movements like you could in NCAA 14.

I don’t necessarily disagree but let’s take the under center option offense for example. Paul Johnson would put his primary ball carrier at the B spot behind the QB. In previous NCAA games that position was the fullback and the ratings were all screwed up because the game wanted a blocking skill set in that spot rather than a ball carrier.
On defense in a 3-4, you have 2 starting MLBs but the depth chart shows that 2nd one as a backup. It would affect recruiting pitches and players transferring because they weren’t “starters”. It was a slight pain in the arse and overall this is a minor nitpick. I’ll take the legacy depth charts all day long if it means we get the game back

They’ll probably address that in the dynasty deep dive. Today was all about gameplay.
Really hope they do a deep dive every Friday from here on out. Let the last one be ratings so people have less chance to bitch about them lol

The fact that they’ve incorporated the Veer and Shoot WR Splits means they’ve paid attention to detail. So I’m not doubting they’ll put that in in this years game or in other iterations in the future

Can’t wait for the dynasty deep dive.
Glad I haven’t played Revamped in a while since the option buttons are different. Shouldn’t be too hard to adjust.

I like it as well, no complaints here.

Apparently the score ticker will be in dynasty mode giving updates on different games just of course no ESPN affiliation

I preordered this game in April when it was announced and just getting caught up on all the discussion/YT bids.
I love everything I see. Currently in another dynasty in my still working PS3 ( Hawaii). Everything so far seems like an improvement/ no change from NCAA14....
except for Dynasty. I know there's a deeper dive video coming, but im not happy with the amount of years. Every game up to 14 that Ive played was a 60 year dynasty. With the expanded powe r of PS5 im not sure why they felt the need to cut it in half. It may not matter to most, but for someone like me does nothing online the offline stuff matters the most ( and i know I'm in minority these days)
I personally loved coaching in all the conferences. With a 30 year dynasty you aren't going to be able to do.
I am still hyped for July. But thats a bummer if true. They also haven't mentioned it yet but i hope theres a FCS DLC in the works. I'd hate to have to play FCS Southwest again after all these years.

Ya I was reading an article (I don't think it was their blog post) and it said 30 years like the previous versions and I was like ummmmmmm.
In fact, I actually played this years FC24 long enough to hit the 30 year mark and got super pissed when they forced me to retire. Had no idea they cap it at 30 now
