Who's reading the kiss on the lips thread? I keep responding to people, then deleting and refreshing to see what others say.

I kiss both my sons on the lips. There is nothing creepy or sexual about it.
I don't think i do it as much with my older one now, it's more on the cheek or top of the head. My little one puckers up fish lips when i tell him to kiss me goodbye or whatever and i'll give him a quick peck. I assume when he gets older, it'll go the same route as the older one.

ETA: Here's another crazy thing...i kissed my dad on the cheek till the day he died...and i kiss my grandpa to this day on his cheek

Those people talking about how it's sexual are kind of nuts. I just don't do it because I have no other better explanation than I just don't like it. Whenever I greet my mom, I kiss her on the cheek and I always give my dad a hug. I guess I see a fine line drawn between that and pecks on the lips, but I can't give you a reason why.

This is me. I would never do it with an older child but in MOST cases I wouldn't think anything about it if others did it. As you said some of the situations on there are down right creepy.

Picked up my camper last night . Messing with that today and going to circus tonight. Getting my new couch delivered tomorrow. Golf and school open house Sunday.
