Disc versions are in bidding wars on eBay right now in the high 800s-900s range. Makes me tempted to sell mine on there.

I hate gouging
but at the same time he is gouging an adult for a non essential item
an item that will eventually be in stock everywhere at regular price if you are willing to be patient...or search more thoroughly
a kid getting a next gen console for christmas is just for bragging rights at school in most cases
