They could literally be printing money with that.

They already are with GTA V online. The amount of money they are still making on that game this many years later is pretty insane

Why not print more? Lol

Same with Bungie. Release Master Chief Collection on Steam (not MS Store, I’m not buying anything on there). Free money! You don’t need to pay for marketing. Same for Rare with Rare Replay.

I imagine there's a good bit of programming involved getting a game ported over to PC that was specifically designed for console.

Still though, they would make a killing

You're right. I plead ignorance in computer science, but I'm sure it's possible. Especially for Halo since Halo 1 and 2 were already ported to PC before. I'm sure whatever costs sunk into programming to get it onto PC would be dwarfed by the returns they'd get.

I'm sort of subscribed to the theory/desire that after the conclusion of the main story with Arthur, since there may be a decent chance Arthur dies some time before the RDR storyline, that we control John Marston after he does.

Pipe dream, though probably.

hell, i dont even care their reasoning its their decision.

i would buy it on ps4 pro anyway because red dead seems more like a chill game i'm rather play on controller.

but the game has been being made for a long time, maybe they are worried pc gamers will bitch about how bad the graphics are on the latest $1000 video cards so they'd rather avoid that negativity around the launch.

gamers are a bitchy bunch. they can say "i would love the most basic straight up port of RDR2 no matter what" but as soon as glitches pop up all the forums and threads would be clogged with "OMMGGGGGG WHEN IS THIS GONNA BE FIXED THEY RELEASED A HALF FINISHED GAME AND EXPECT US TO PAY $60"

343 couldn't even get it right on Xbox, and that's being nice. It would be a catastrophic failure on PC.

Bungie doesn't have shite to do with Halo anymore and has not for a long time. When Bungie was still under MS they wanted to make Destiny and at that time it would have been Xbox exclusive. MS said no to any new ideas, we want you to run Halo into the ground. Bungie left MS in order to be able to create Destiny, but lost all rights to Halo in the process. MS owns 343 who makes the Halo games now and MS owns all rights to everything Halo. You will never see a first party MS game sold on Steam.

Ps3 was based on a propeirtary processor called the cell.

It was notoriously hard to program for and porting games takes a LOT of work.

That's why they went x86 based on ps4, they made development so much easier. It was difficult with ps3.

That said they could easily bring rdr2 to PC, almost no work involved.

I'm sure it will be a gorgeous game where I can ride a horse around and get lost for hours. Can't wait.

Has Rockstar ever been known for their graphics? Granted many parts of RDR game me chills because of the beauty of it and the environment, but I guess I just dont remember that being one of the selling points out of the gate. Maybe the amount of time between rockstar games makes me forget.

RDR was definitely up there when it first came out. It’ll look dated now of course, but I was a fan, personally. I know graphics can be subjective.

Destiny is like that tranny you see that’s really hot. You start to play but you end up disappointed by the grind.
