Origin isn't as polished as Steam, but Frostbite engine games run like crap. At least initially, it's a pretty darn near constant 60 FPS then the longer I play I start experiencing 2-3 second freezes. Eventually it gets so bad that the game becomes unplayable
That sounds like heat issues.

Could be, but it's only Frostbite games. Google search Frostbite memory leak.

EA Responds
Huge change, Luke/Vader were like 70k during the early access period.

So, we’re reducing the amount of credits needed to unlock the top heroes by 75%. Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader will now be available for 15,000 credits; Emperor Palpatine, Chewbacca, and Leia Organa for 10,000 credits; and Iden at 5,000 credits.

The game looks beautiful on PC, and is very well optimized.
I'm pushing 110-130 FPS at 1440p on Ultra.

It really sucks that EA is botching this game release so bad because underneath all this is actually a really fun game. And it runs pretty great.

They also reduced how much you earn though.
It's still pay to win, and now EA has removed their refund button. Classic.

They didn't reduce how much you earn. That is a false narrative that people are coupling with everything else. I played last night for 4 or 5 hours and ran into 3 people the entire time with full epic'd out cards. I specifically counted them. Its EA's Fault for giving us the option but isn't some of the blame on the customers that drop 100s on the games?

Well that just doesn't make any sense to me Scruffy. EA is still a business when its all said and done. They are going to put stuff into the games to make them money. As scummy as the boxes are its still the customer that are spending money on them. I dont ever plan on dropping any money on the boxes and I most likely wouldnt of ever even if they were only cosmetic.
Now don't take this as meaning that I'm fully behind everything EA does(Getting rid of the refund option is definitely one of the worst ways they could of went with this whole thing.) But some of the blame is definitely on customers for supporting microtransactions by buying them or just transactions because some of them aren't so micro anymore

If only they had a marketplace like steam worth a shite, they could get away with only making skins purchasable like every other popular shooter right now.
Games like H1Z1, CSGO, etc make a good amount off people buying keys for loot crates to try and get rare skins

Exactly. You can’t blame the business for doing what makes the most money. Once people stop buying their product, or cause an uproar like the reddit comment yesterday, then they’ll make adjustments to please the customer and still maximize profits. I’m not saying that it’s right, but you can’t blame them. CD Projekt Red did it the right way when it comes to paying for extra content in The Witcher 3 and they got commended for it immensely and made tons of money.

The customization with the Cards is a cool idea but probably not implemented the correct way. Its nice so that every person isn't your generic soldier or that I can make my bomber a tad better at staying alive. It should of probably been implemented as some sort of a talent tree.

So we're just going to completely ignore the fact that they removed their refund button?
