yah, I know. That's not a server side issue, though, which battlenet is only being used to host servers. Getting Battlenet to host servers is pretty huge. It could potentially fix their desync and netcode problems

Basically you have your crosshairs on someone, no matter the distance, it'll count as a hit. You dont have to worry about bullet drop, leading players while they're moving, etc

Hit scan registers a hit at the moment you pull the trigger.
It doesn't wait for the bullet to travel to the target before registering

I may be wrong, but I also believe hit scan works on the client side.
So it registers the hit and then sends the hit to the server.
For close quarters (pretty much anything COD), it doesn't matter because the difference would be negligible.

It works great for a game like fortnite, but it would be terrible in a BR FPP game
