So Challenge mode is becoming exactly like the weekly nightfall in Destiny. Insanely hard with crap rewards.

Weekly nightfall was not hard at all in Destiny. Outside of that one capture area on one of the earth strikes.
Also rewards seem okay to me, especially that you can run them over and over. You make the rewards any better and people will progress too fast.

I'll rephrase, compared to what you actually got for them, they were way too hard.
I've yet to get anything from a Challenge mode that I've been able to actually use.

Everything I've read on the subreddit says if you're 90K in damage and over 60K in health then your endgame should be the DZ because the chances you get anything useful from challenge mode are slim to none.
By the way, the Destiny Nightfall used to be pretty damn hard, especially in year one when a wipe would send your entire team back out to orbit no matter if you were at the boss or not. That was 20x times worse than the SABER strike you mentioned.

Somehow ended up in a group of 8 people in a party last night and stayed in dz06 and 05 for a while. shite is crazy up there.
Actually got a high end drop that I could use. Also a bunch of lvl 31 superiors. Solid night
Time to decide if I want to craft the vector or black market ak.

Yes, but the high end gear has all been pretty significantly worse than my purple gear, and it's not like I have just insane gear. I just got to level 30 and am only lvl 20 in DZ.

No kidding. Year 1 nightfall was a beast. You got better stuff, but damn was it brutal.

Those are really good stats.
Think I'm at 105/70/15
With 100% scavenging.
Still a lot of room for upgrades.
Probably don't need 70k health but I hate dying in the dz.
Rank 37 so deaths are beginning to really hurt.

Just yesterday, I figured out this concept and how to recalibrate gear stats.
So last nights DZ trip was extremely fruitful. Though I'm not sure if that was a function of scavenging or the DZ subway.

Ooooooh. Sounds like we're kind of in the same boat. I'm 30 but haven't been for very long, since last weekend, but I've hardly played since then.
Apparently the best HE gear is from the blueprints that you can buy with Phoenix credits.

I've been fortunate so far. Most of my squad have played more than I have but are still chasing my stats/gear. I'm almost all high end gear and weapons now.
I'm glad they dropped the penalty for dying in the DZ. Don't have to pull out my tank gear when I go in anymore.

Crafted a Vector with Ferocious, Brutal & Self-Preserved, up to 118K DPS now.

No high end weapons besides the Demascus. I have a high end knee pad. Everything else is all purples. Hit me up though, i'm always down for some DZ fun. GT is A Spacious Gas

What exactly does a higher DZ rank get you? Still only lvl 14 so I'm awhile out before messing in DZ.
