If they only made games people asked for, there would only be, like, 10 games a year. . .all sequels to the the same 10 IPs.
This is telling the story of an important, one of the 3 or 4 most important, character from the GoW franchise.
This isn't replacing Kratos, nor diminishing him in any way. It is a side story.

I didn't mean it literally, but if we did a poll I would say most GOW fans would prefer the next game to be in Egypt or new mythology not a prequel about Faye. If I recall didn't the developers say they didnt make the Norse game a trilogy because they didnt want to work on a Norse story for 10-15 years? Now they are supposedly making this. We'll see. If it's just a side game like Ghosts of Sparta and Ascension were then it could be decent.

I see your point, but Miles was already popular from Into the Spier-Verse and before that the comics.
Miles, honestly, is a literal "how to" guide on adding a new character by the same name to a legacy character (though his start in the Ultimate comics was rough at first).
I don't see this character (Faye) the same way. We barely know anything about her, other than a few flashbacks. She's a good character, but that alone isn't enough to carry the game when people are expecting much more identifiable characters.
If their goal had been to have her in her own game, they should have given us more to work with in the previous one IMHO.

This reminds be of that uncharted spin-off game. Anyone asking for it? nah but it was fun to play that style of game again.

I'll play it if the youtubers I like enjoy playing it. I'd rather play a game about Faye than a spinoff featuring Atreus/Loki, at least. I still have so many games in my backlog that this won't really make a difference for me, and I started to get bored with GoW towards the end of Ragnarok. The Egypt concept is intgriguing to me if that's where they are taking the mainline Kratos-focused series.
