No they are live streaming today. I can't remember the time, but it's sometime this afternoon.

I'm telling you man. You will want to get this game. It's shaping up to be the best sports game period. They really are adding a bunch to it to make it different.
HART, in your opinion will I be screwing up royally by waiting til next year? (I have my own ridiculous reasons for not being done with 14 yet, don't ask). I know it's a pretty hard question to answer but want to be sure I don't screw up really bad by waiting

If you don't mind starting fresh I think you'll be OK. Diamond Dynasty is neat but nah,I think you can wait a few more weeks to get '16. I just got home and haven't had a chance to get any of the stream information tonight. will do it tomorrow at some point.

I pretty much only play franchise so that's my main concern but appreciate help and will keep up with the thread to see what I think

Can someone update me on what Diamond Dynasty is? I've read up on the game and I love The Show but what's going to make this year one of the best sports games ever?

San Diego Studio Twitch Page
Here is the link to the dev's Twitch page. The franchise broadcast will show up as "most recent broadcast". When I get home today (around 4-5 PM eastern), I will post video links and what not. I know I've been slacking. My bad.

Diamond Dynasty is MLBs version of MyTeam, MUT, HUT, FUT, etc.
Open packs, get cards. Use said cards and build your team of current and past stars.
This year they've introduced Captain cards which afford you the opportunity to get certain cards by playing with particular lineups.
For instance: There's a captain David Wright, so maybe in order to obtain him you have to play 100 innings of Diamond Dynasty with a player born in David Wright's state. Now, if you played with just one player from his state, it would take you significantly longer to earn innings as opposed to you using 9 positional players from his state. once you reach the required number of innings, you are issued tickets towards unlocking his card. It could take you 2 or 3 "side missions" to get enough tickets to unlock him, but when you do, he's all yours.
They've done this to hopefully get people to switch up their lineups on a day to day basis. There are no contracts on players, so once you get them you can use them however many times you want and they will never go away.
Another thing they've done to increase the chances of seeing a variety of lineups is using a real life tool (Insiders Edge) to procure day by day statistics. Say for instance you have a 1st Base tandem of Paul Goldschmidt and Freddie Freeman. Insiders Edge will use the real life statistics and assign each player a star rating based on that matchup.
So let's say Goldschmidt are facing a left handed hitter. Obviously Goldschmidt is going to hit lefties better so he could have 4 stars while Freddie would only have 3. However, let's say you have another 1st baseman on your roster (Rizzo) who is also facing a lefty, but in his plate appearances against said lefty, he has hit extremely well (7/10 with a HR, etc.), this could warrant a 5 star rating for Rizzo. These star ratings allow players with not so high ratings to possibly out perform the higher rated players based on real life statistics. It also changes from day to day.
There is a TON to love about Diamond Dynasty this year. Trust me, the day it comes out, I will most likely be streaming it ALL day, so if you are hesitant to pick it up on release day, you are more than welcome to stop by my stream and check it out first hand for yourself.

Do you know how long it took to get the full minors rosters out last year? I didn't end up getting it until like June last year when they had been out for a bit

Player morale being pretty detailed is going to be a pain for me to handle. Especially the role the player expects to play.
Hitting 6th for the New York Yankees isn't the same as hitting 6th for the Diamondbacks yet the game will treat a star player hitting in that spot the same no matter the team. Kinda annoying

I can't remember last year but I don't believe it was more than a week or two for them to be published

It really depends on who (out of those individuals doing the rosters) gets the game early. Some (if not all of them) usually get it early so they get the opportunity to work on the rosters prior to main release. I would say expect full minors rosters about 2-3 weeks after release.

Yeah, the OS full minor rosters came out 04/12 last year (about 2 weeks after release).
As strictly a franchise player, thats why getting the show on release day never mattered much to me. No way I can start before those rosters come out. Although this year may be different with SOTS coming back - assigning real music to each park can take up my time while waiting for those rosters to be released.
