BO1 was the first CoD I ever bought. Game was simply amazing. The maps, the guns, the time era, everything. Liked MW3, liked BO2 but nothing compares to BO1 in my opinion. I have so many memories on that game

Black Ops is my favorite CoD. A close second would be MW2. CoD:4 and Black Ops 2 are right there.

from my interwebs research it seems like the internet hype machine is what got everyone anticipating this being the release date. but it was nothing more than @majornelson tweeting this week's "The Week on Xbox" being a must see. When really it was just him hyping up the showcase of the press getting to play some of the games Xbox has coming this Spring.

I doubt they release Blops 1 anytime soon. They've gotta get their money from Blops 3 DLC and microtransactions.

This was specifically about the COD4 remaster. My example was when they released the Halo CE anniversary pack. But this is just backwards compatible, so that's awesome news.
So I'm assuming 360 and One players will be on the same servers?

Yep, hosted on 360 Black Ops servers "as is". And they haven't released a patch since around the time MW3 dropped.
