Most here know what many would put this games genre classified in and most who see this place a bit no I imagine if is enjoy but j have never played any of them though, for 12.50$ the bundle includes for ps5; Yakuza 0, Yaluza Kawami, Yakuza 2 and that’s it.
Yakuza O is 20$ alone so I’m sure it’s a solid deal just want to confirm I’ll like it. JRPg shite is my favorite. Western style RPGs I usually pass but there are exceptions;
Just some other things to throw out on this random sale, monster hunter is 19.99, FF8 tenanted is 9.99 which has multiplier? And FF type 0 is 7.99 which I highly recommend you all get. Nier replicant is 29.99
I’d also say Trails of cold steel had all four game’s enchanted and 3rd is only 20$. Valkyrie Chronies is is only 11.99 another big get you should consider. It had a demo.

Thanks for a answering my conch shell regardless baws. That’s unity, I am quite sure I’ll like it but PlayStation trying to sucker with their new bullshite like charging me 20$ to play bloodbourne and FF8 on ps now has me jaded. As if I haven’t steady beaten them both a zillion times.

I meant most here know I love the genre what I imagine they’d classify yazuka in so they might find it weird to ask if I should pay 13 dollars for 3 games lol in the series they probably much enjoy. I just need to know if I’m getting grand theft auto, something akin to the Witcher, or a Asian mafia pick your own goosebumps book that’s not very much beyond the excitement of just dialogue choicibg how you wanna Scarface. I want then to tell me id find much enjoyment off what they know of what I have said.

Yakuza games are fantastic. You'll know if they're for you or not as soon as you play 0, and you're getting a discount even if you play it and drop it. They're 3D beat-em-ups with a crime drama story attached to it. Avoid if you don't like open world games (it's not open world but the city is open to walk around, think Grand Theft Auto) or if you don't like games that are repetitive.

that is a great deal and these games are fun

Might be my all time favorite series. I'm playing through Yakuza 0 right now for the 4th time and will probably keep going through Yakuza 6 (will be my 3rd or 4th playthrough on each game).
It's a good mix of serious drama and whacky content. Generally speaking, the main story is the serious part and the side stories are the whacky parts.
I will say that if you don't like cutscenes then this isn't the series for you. They are long and often hard to skip through. And everything is subtitled. I also highly recommend searching for the walkthrough guides by CyricZ if you want to make sure you don't miss anything.
Others described the gameplay accurately. It's a 3D beat em up with a strong story attached (hence the long cutscenes). It is open world, but it's a small open world. Y0 has 2 cities, each not very big. Throughout the series most of the games take place in only 1 or 2 cities (the 2 featured in Y0). Y4 and 5 have more locations as there are 4 to 5 main characters with most starting out in their own city. 3 and 6 each add a new area for the game.
Judgement and Lost Judgement are spin offs that are also very good. Lost Judgement introduces a new city larger than the others that most of the game takes place in. Like A Dragon (Yakuza 7) takes place mostly in the new city with an entirely new set of main characters and changes the fighting style to turn based. Not my favorite system but I loved the game.
Kamaroucho is the main city that is featured in the cities. It's based off of the real Tokyo Red Light district and is the home base of the main character, Kiryu. It's pretty cool to see how they use the same city over 7+ games and how it changes over time.
Someone said you'll know pretty quickly in Y0 if you like the series or not. Y0 is a prequel but I would start with that and play them in numbered order. They did a good job of completely redoing 1 and 2 with modern graphics and gameplay for games released towards the end of the PS4 run. 3 is the oldest and roughest. 4 and 5 are good games if not a little outdated even with the remasters. 6 gets back to the end of PS4 levels. The spinoffs and later start to get into true current gen graphics and gameplay.

I love them because I just love the Japanese mafia scene and the games are just fun beat-em-ups with enjoyable stories and intriguing characters/side missions

I went through a phase where I played all the Yakuza games then the love for them just kind of wore off on me.
At first, the city is like a character in and of itself, and it's interesting seeing all the small ways that the city changes between games, but over time, you just get tired of re-treading the same ground.
The plots for all the games, while interesting upon first glance, all start to run together and feel very same-y after awhile.
The newest one (Like a Dragon), which isn't mentioned here, swaps out the beat-em-up combat for turn-based RPG, only around 3/4ths of the way through it turns into a very grindy game. I also think the new city they introduced is quite possibly the worst in the series.
