My point is comparing a one off event hosted by the one golfer the PGA cannot take on to the LIV tour is incredibly dumb.
The standard is the standard. Unless you’re admitting the tour isn’t applying the standard evenly, which it seems like you are. They can’t take on Tiger so the rules apply differently to him. That won’t look good in court.

Does the tour award OWGR points? I’m not sure that is how it works?

The OWGR and PGA are different entities.
The PGA is not going to battle tiger on hosting a one off tournament. The OWGR gave tiger those points not the PGA. That was their decision.
Currently LIV does not meet the standards for OWGR points but I believe that is under review.
I don’t know what “the standard is the standard” means but you need to review who has what standards.

Map the LIV is not applying their written standards equally depending upon the sponsor of the tournament?
The “standard is the standard” means that once an organization published standards it relies upon, it must follow them. To divert from that standard could be seen as a tacit revocation of the written standard. Or it can provide a basis for someone to claim the standard is not being applied equally and open the opportunity for a suit.
If the official world golf rankings wanted to pick and choose who they awards points to for whatever reason they want, they should not publish a standard.

Are you just speculating? It took 8 years for hero to get points. I would expect a similar type tournament (ie LIV) to take and equal or greater amount of time.

The OWGR points are already a joke. Hell they just changed how they are awarded less than 4 months ago.
Not including LIV make it much worse.

Not speculating. Saying if they abandon their standard they are opening themselves to a law suit.
