I didnt hit a single good shot all day saturday with the exception of every 3 wood I hit. That is until 16 I got a little too confident and I try to fly one about 260 over a pond into a short par 4. Splash of course

3 hybrid from 240 to the fringe 9 ft from the hole. Left the eagle putt short. Tap-in birdie.

But on a Par 5, I was out 130yds, hit a PW to get on the green...to be 40ft from cup. Up hill then a nice downhill with about a 10 ft break. Nailed it for birdie.
I was pretty jacked! So I hit an amazing drive on next hole that decided to curve right and keep going...still don’t think it’s landed.

400 yard par 4. Yanked tee shot left into the trees. Popped out and had 180 to green from under a tree. Full 6 iron, high with a little fade to 2 feet and tapped in for birdie. Best feeling iron shot I've hit in a ling time. The swing, contact, ball fight, everything was perfect.

Chip-in for eagle at Oxmoor Valley in Birmingham Alabama. 35 ft off the green, front left pin, 58 degree.
First time I've played the course and if you're ever in the area i'd give it a try. Gorgeous course with a lot of elevation.

Just have to be able to focus for every single shot
In my opinion, the mental aspect is so overlooked. It is so hard for the average golfer to maintain focus, especially when you may not have your A, or even B game.

While I have my mis-hits through a round. The great majority of shots that get me in trouble are a result of not focusing on the shot.

#14 TPC Avondale.
Pin is about 165 yards on the back left.
Smooth 7 iron to 5' behind the hole.
I actually made the putt for birdie. Only one of the day. The rest of the rough was rough! lol

I’m gonna go with my first tee shot today. Ripped a driver down the right side of the fairway. I hit better golf shots today, but with the way I’ve been struggling with my driver that first one put me in a good mindset for the round

It doesn’t even count, but I hit a practice shot through some trees in the rough from about 170 to within 10 feet.
Now my score keeping ball the shot before hit a tree and it took me 2 more shots to get back on the fairway

Basically drove the green on 17 at Webb, easy downhill chip just off the green to a couple inches and tapped in for birdie

Crunched 3 wood from 250 out on par 5 to 12 feet. Proceeded to 3 put for par

Got a new one today.
Par 5, 205 out with a bunker in front of green 190 carry 15-20mph wind in my face. Hit a 3 hybrid that landed right over the top of the bunker and stopped on the green 10 feet away, then I drilled the eagle putt

First eagle yesterday. Really two great shots. Drilled a 290 yard drive over the top of pines at Hattiesburg CC No.3 leaving around 190 in. Hit a beautiful 4iron draw to around 6ft and sank the putt.

driver, 1st tee in a scramble, pured it, low boring needle straight down the middle, no felt vibration, finished balanced to watch it go through the turn in the fairway, didn’t care, absolutely shocking and effortless, never felt that before and chasing that high ever since...

17th hole is a par 3, you must have meant hole #16.
