Broken Shaft Sticking Out of Fairway Wood Head

So, I purchased what I thought was just the head of a Callaway Epic Speed 3 fairway wood, intending to just install a new shaft myself (I do this as sort of a hobby). Post from the seller says only "fairway Wood Head" and has two pictures. One showing top of the head and the other a side view of the head. It was for a price, so I thought I could make a little profit of of it. Well, the package gets delivered and there's approx. 3 inches of broken off shaft still stuck in the head. Seller makes no mention of this and strategically shows the side view so that you cannot tell there is still some shaft left.
Don't feel like returning, so how do you gentlemen suggest I fix this issue? I'd rather not take it to a pro shop because I'm sure they'll charge an arm and a leg.

What kind of 3 wood?

First off, wear gloves. If you can get the graphite piece to hold in a vice grip, you should be able to apply heat on the metal hosel to loosen the epoxy.
If not, cut it at the top of the hosel and then just drill it out. You will possibly need a replacement plastic ferrule cap when installing the new shaft.
Hope this helps!
EDIT: Just to clarify on heating the hosel. If using a blowtorch, expect paint discoloration but quicker. If using a heat gun, takes longer but will likely end with a better result. Try not to let any heat hit that plastic ferrule cap and you may be able to reuse it possibly. If not, they're super cheap

You will be able to get that out without drilling it. Dick move by the seller, but it's not worth returning it.
Put shaft in vice, use heat gun and pull clubhead off. Don't worry about the ferrule, just buy a replacement.
If you have no idea what you're doing, I would suggest watching a youtube video. It's possible you can frick the paint up with a torch.

Um, get a golf club wrench and unscrew it. Owner left it because you need the adapter for your new shaft. Not a dick move at all.

Epic Speeds have fixed hosels. There's nothing to unscrew.

Heat gun only. Torches will ruin the head.
Reshafting a fixed fairway wood is not expensive to have a shop do it especially if you have a replacement shaft and grip, maybe 20 bucks...
