Love my golf trips with hacker friends from high school where we play four man scramble, do shots fireball and drink 6 beers a side with music in the cart, and also enjoy serious golf trips to top 100 courses where we walk and play own ball money games. Both can be true.

It was in a tournament and his partner had just made a side bet with us v them. We listened to Hip Hop BBQ the rest of the day.

Doesnt bother me at all. Either does a constant conversation.
What does however, is something unexpected. Like, right before I swing someone asking whats the distance to ____.
If there is constant chatter or music, I can block that out.

I do play music sometimes. It doesn't bother me if other people do.
However, I see the opposite side as well. As someone who comes from a stressful work life. Often the golf course provides peace and quiet; a chance to get away. I respect both sides and can live with either.

I have one buddy who pouts like a little bitch if anybody wants to play any music. He's the same guy who acts like he's on TV for every single shot. Incredibly slow and boring golfer, but he's a good player.
There are cliche douchebags in every sport. But golf has so many varieties.

I’m as much of a traditionalist as anyone, but some decent music on the course can be quite enjoyable. As long as it’s not techno or death metal, mind you.

or rap and Bro Country. I listen occasionally, usually to one of my playlist of either classic rock or Texas Country but I keep the volume down. If someone doesn't want it on I will turn it off.
Now that the NFL has started I like to play on Sunday while the 'Aints are on, course is pretty empty so you can play your music louder without an issue.
