Right. Both have the game to prove they can play on the PGA Tour. The archaic system is going to keep them on the KFT next year.

Not saying it won’t work out ok for them, but if your goal is to get the best golfers on the PGA Tour, this is not helping the case.

That's two events brah. If you judged Tiger by his worst two events a year you'd say the same thing about him too

So in the two events where half the field is guys who played on tour this year he is 44th? When he plays against guys not on tour he plays well? That means he should be on tour?

Disagree. When guys used to go straight to the tour from q school an outrageous number lost their cards after 1 year. Guys coming up from KF have a better chance of staying on tour. He can do a year on KF. It will be good for him.

I agree.

Earning a Tour Card should be hard on a player, because it won't be easy keeping it unless you have the talent and the mental part down.

If you finish 32nd in the KFT standings only getting to play 8 events, so think it’s fair to say you’d probably qualify for the Tour with a full season.

Or you could just say frick it and take a bag from LIV and not be in KFT purgatory next year.

Which is kind of the point

Would he be a take for LIV right now with their limited fields?

Not sure he would be one to get the guaranteed money though. He wouldn't make a big enough splash at this moment and I think Norman is still trying to get bigger fish to bite.

Coody had to withdraw. Full year on the KFT next year while we get to watch McGirt, O'Hair, and Trainor top out at t30

He’s already received an offer from them. He was better in college than Chacarra and already has a KFT win. He’d be a take.

Most likely. But you saw how he fared against a field with half of them being tour guys. Precise reason a full year on KF will likely do him good.

Imagine using these 3 tourneys as the only way to judge a player’s potential.

I didn’t do that. At all. I think he will have a long career on tour. However, the stats say that when someone spends a year on KFT before going to the bud tour they have a much better chance of keeping their card. That is why they changed the q school rules.

I simply pointed out that he didn’t do too well when there were 75 guys from your in the field.

If you are talking about Vince Whaley, I would agree with you

Nah. I like Whaley. But I am talking about the study they did that I’m sure you’re aware of. Where they looked at pros coming to tour straight from q school vs pros that spent at least one full year on Nationwide (or Nike or whatever it was back then). The difference was staggering.
