A team carded at 49 at Copper Mill in the CALEF scramble about 4-5 years weeks ago in the AM flight.
We finished around -11 in the PM flight with the best scoring 52.
They said a group ahead of them was playing bad and stopped to drink and watch them because that team was playing so well.

Agree.
I think some of these teams take a mulligan, but only count it if it improves their score.
Sort of an endless mulligan.
It’s like they putt until it goes in, and then the guys that Miss say, “we used his mulligan since it went in.”
No mulligans is better. A red tee as a fund raiser is fine, but the endless mulligans are silly.

It's the way we ran our company charity golf scramble.
The pride of actually winning was valuable around the breakroom thenext week anyway

Haha holy shite! 26 under!! People are the worst. I’ve never understood cheating in scrambles. But this is on another level.
That group probably didn’t even get 13 under. I’ve played with twocollege golfers before and we only shot a 57.

PGA Tour event this week is a scramble with 2 touring pros per team.
Most of the teams can’t break 60. 56 is low with only a handful of sub 60 rounds.
Yeah 46 is bullllshit.

PGA Tour Radio had a guy who claims to have played in this scramble call into a show this afternoon. He said that each player had a mulligan & a throw. He also said it had rained for 3 days straight, the fairways were so wet that if you didn’t pick the ball clean that you could break your wrist because you would did that deep & you were lucky if your ball would release 4 feet on the greens.
The host talked about the guy that collected the check being as round as he was tall. The caller said one of the other players made “Zalatoris look like a stand in for Dolph Lundgren in Rocky”. The host asked the caller if they looked like a 10 when they stood next to each other.

I’ve been a part of a legit 51 before. Everything fell. Hell I sunk a 30’ putt on the last hole for birdie. I was playing with three guys that were all excellent golfers, one a legit single handicap.
We had a double eagle on a par 5, hard dogleg right. The green is only about 200yds from the tee box as the crow flies, but it’s opposite a bunch of houses and tall trees and you can’t see it. One of our guys tees it up, bombs it over the houses and lands on the fringe. We chipped in for a 2. It’s an insane ballsy shot. You catch it thin and the ball is going thru someone’s living room window.
That round was a lot of fun.
