I don't care if he is 26 or 46. I don't care what his past results are. How is he hitting it right now and how does that project to majors? I struggle to find a tournament or major where 370 isn't a good thing. Distance almost always travels.

They may or may not be fat, but they're certainly dumb

If the bar we have to compare everyone to is a probably top 10 talented player of all time then everyone sucks.

Dude you are proving my point. Rory is that talented and still hasn't won one in 6 years.

Again it's hard as frick and you're acting like De Bambo winning a tournament, grabbing a couple of top 5s and hitting it 350 means it is going to be automatic.

I'm saying its not and until he shows up and does something at one, the jury is completely out. What are you arguing with me about at this point? That I refuse to blow him for lifting the rocket mortgage trophy?

Guess we can just leave it at that.

So does a shitty short game. Particularly to the Masters where it eats you up and shits you out.

If he's wedging to 30 feet on every hole at Augusta, he's still going to be 2 and 3 putting anyway on a lot of those greens.

Are people really acting like he isnt one of the top golfers in the world?

He is probably the best player in the world as of 8:16 PM July 6, 2020. Unfortunately, he's like 6th in the Sagarin rankings right now because the back half of his 2019 wasn't very good outside of the runner up to Wolff last year at 3M, and he didn't start heating up until L.A, but he is playing like the best player in the world (well, maybe he or Webb) right now.

I still don't believe his game will travel well to Augusta, specifically. I think he will eat up some other venues - Harding Park, for sure, and maybe Winged Foot depending on how it plays for a September U.S. Open - but Augusta in particular presents a different challenge for which I think he still has some holes in his game.

I also think he still has something to prove between the ears to win a major, much less at Augusta. He quite obviously has the physical talent and then some.

Not knocking you specifically, just saying to the larger point that when we think that people are “legit as hell” everyone knows how to spell their name. Hell even a hard name like DeChambeau.

So no, Matthew Wolff is not a “legit as hell“ golfer. He is “aight”. He came up with all the other kids that are hot right now, and he hasn’t been as good as them.

Wolff was the first player since Billy Hurley III in 2016 to win after receiving a sponsor exemption. He was also only the third player to win an NCAA title and PGA Tour event in the same calendar year, joining Tiger Woods and Ben Crenshaw.

Man I was typing fast, whether I misspelled his name or not the dude is a hell of a golfer.

He literally was just in college, won the individual, turned pro in June and won a tourney in July.

He has the game to win multiple majors.

That was the funniest hole of golf I’ve ever watched.

One of my biggest reasons I dislike him as a golfer.

Just constantly whining.

He is a petulant child.

Exactly.

Instead of being like "wow, I hit a retarded shot from there with a 3 wood, I got what I deserved"

He went that route.

Not ready to get down on the kid.

He just needs to figure out what type of golfer that he wants to be and how long he wants his career to be.

The faster that you swing, the smallest fraction off results in a bigger miss.

I'd still rather hit a 100 wedge from the first cut than a 160 yd shot from the fairway.

[quote]DeChambeau said he wanted to "hop the fence and hit it from the other side." The official delivered the same bad news.

No you see Bryson thats what we call in golf out of bounds
