Really?

I mean you shouldn't show up with your own bottles of dasani. You should buy bottles of water at the club just like beer or crackers.

I show up with a big insulated cup filled with water. The cone cups at each cooler don't get the job done.

What if I bring a tumbler of ice and fill it using the water provided at the course?

Fine. They have voluntarily put it out on the course for you.

But if I fill it myself, it’s as bad as bringing my own alcohol?

Right. A filled tumbler isn't any different than a Dasani bottle. It's just a difference of container.

It's a discussion. I'd imagine most people in here subscribe to the notion that alcohol is treated differently, but hydrating drinks and snacks are fine. This conversation is getting me through a 2 hour webinar.

I just can’t imagine getting worked up about someone bringing 6 Beers to the golf course

Because you don't own/manage a golf course and math is hard for you.

Who is worked up? The OP who’s upset about having to pay another $20 for a few beers after finding the cheapest round he could? Or the golf board who’s telling him he’s being a bitch about it?

Exactly! And obviously never owned any type of business or wondered why your favorite course can’t get conditions better for a lower price.

But it hurt his feelings to the point where he felt the need to post about it here thinking he’d get a bunch of baws to back him up on hating on a marshal who mistreated him by making him follow the rules he already knew he was breaking

He asked a question if anyone has had a starter do this before to which my answer is no because most places really DGAF, and if they did wouldn’t you see most starters checking?

You’re proving my point. You and I both know his question was rhetorical. He came here to pile on the guy and feel better about disliking him.

2 schools of thought.

1. Ever since the pandemic, encountering a cart girl especially during the week is hit and miss.

2. When you make your tee time, you can always ask if they will have a cart person that day.

I always have a large thermos of Chic-Fil-A diet lemonade on the course.

* bringing beer on the course is a Alcoholic Beverage Law violation if the course sells alcohol.
