I am getting where I need someone to help see the golf ball

I will play solo sometimes if nobody is there, but I will also play with anyone who is willing.

I play alone more often than I play with other people. Both can be fun, but playing alone is peaceful. When I'm playing by myself I always walk it. I find I play better when I'm walking as well.

I got chewed out yesterday because I told the wife to stop blowing up my phone. Hole 6 and my phone had gone off with 6 texts through those holes. I was 2 over after 5 and shanked two in the water after the last text. I just left after that because my peaceful round had turned into total aggravation.

You’re either a newly wed and don’t know any better or you’ve been married long enough not to care

I play 3 times a week solo. 9 on Tuesday and Friday after work.

Then play 18 early Sunday morning. I love it.

You're no alone. I live and work with the SO. Not uncommon for her to bombard my phone whether on range or course and have it impact mental game.

Think I'm going to start turning phone off then blaming the service in future. Course is the only time I can escape now. One of the reasons I enjoy playing solo (& relatively new to the area).

I do sometimes, but don’t refuse to pair up with people if the opportunity presents itself. The only people this would bother are douche level dick heads. Overall, if the course is fairly busy, it will help pace of play to pair up.

Nobody cares if you’re not that good. Just keep up pace with the group in front and make sure the group behind isn’t constantly waiting. Pick up after triple bogie and move on.

Solo is awesome. I'll do my best to go at low traffic hours so I can play at a pace Koepka would be proud of.

I play solo 90% of the time. Some of the most enjoyable rounds I’ve every played were with people I got paired up with.

Once upon a time I got paired with a threesome of old golf buddies in their early 60s. On the first tee waiting and chatting, they were about to leave for a boys trip to do a British Open tour. Playing St Andrews and three other Open courses. The guys are really great and nice and talkative.

I tee off first and stripe one. Next guy tees off and hits a pretty nice shot. Third guy goes and hits a really short shot. The last guy pipes up from out of nowhere and says “Jesus Jimmy, did you remember to pull your fist out of your pussy before you hit that shot?” And it went downhill from there.

There were threats. There were stories. Particularly enjoyed the one where one of the guys was getting the MBJ in the stands from a coed in Tiger Stadium during a Tulane game when they were in school. I don’t think I’ve laughed that much in a long time. Honestly I don’t remember if I even had a decent round.

Someone I'm playing with not being good never bothers me. A 25 handicap thinking they're good, throwing clubs and disrespecting the course bothers me a lot more than someone not being good. As long as you play at a reasonable pace and don't slow down the group too much I wouldn't think you'd bother most people.
This right here. I’m a 25 handicap, but I play ready golf and I don’t whine at my clubs when I make a bad shot. Follow basic golf etiquette, fix your ball marks, and don’t slow the group up. Sometimes that means picking up and moving on after missing a 3-putt or getting stuck in the sand. Nobody cares. Have fun and be friendly,
