Sorry if this post doesn’t sound right or confusing but I’ve always had trouble hitting my wedges within 100 yards or so. One issue has always been my swing with my wedges. It is something that I have been working on for awhile but I think I got majority of it worked out except getting consistency on the face of the club. It seems that any contact slightly off center is sending the ball all over the place. I feel like my wedges (W/S FG Tour)have a little to no forgiveness. Is there something I can try to help fix that problem making contact or do I need to look into different wedges that may offer more forgiveness?

Unfortunately, it took me a while to learn that lesson.

You should give the Cleveland CBX wedges a shot.. they're pretty forgiving

Don't make full swings. Make sure you're getting your hips cleared and your belly button pointed at the target. Also, don't try to hit down on the ball, take a few practice swings sweeping the club.

A couple things I notice is that it feels like I am not completely following through after contact with the ball. I assume that indicates I am hitting down on the ball. Also, I feel like my stance and ball address is all jacked up. I set up with the ball in the middle or slightly back in my stance. My hands are slightly forward. When I do practice swings, it feels like a good swing but it feels off when I do hit the shot.

Use your set match PW for every shot you can. It’s so easy relative to clipping SW and LW. Unless you’re short sided over a bunker, play the paw paw shot.. this will shave 5 strokes off your avg score

Yeah when you’re getting no follow through that means you’re hitting down and trapping. It’s more noticeable with wedges.

You don’t really need to have the ball back in your stance unless you’re hitting a punch shot. What I’ve been taught when hitting those 100 yards and in shots is to narrow your stance and have the ball in the middle of the stance with your hands only slightly forward with your weight distribution 55/45 or 60/40 on your front foot.
