Really, I don't have any connections out there anymore to get on, but I liked it 10 years ago.

Love Timber Creek. Only played it once but had a damn good time and shot my best (non home-course) score out there

Cypress Lakes: walked the front 9 late yesterday. Bunkers are trashed and mostly full of water. Otherwise, the course was playable.

All woodlands courses closed “until further notice”

All resources being put to open Palmer first for some reason. I live by the played and the holes I’ve walked around on seem fine, they sanded all the greens at least while they have it closed

Not sure of the damage, but Houston Oaks and BlueJack are both closed for annual maintenance.

If you don't mind , let us know how the overall course conditions are, supposed to play there in 2 weeks.

Highland was in great condition. Pretty impressive to have their course in that shape less than a week after a hurricane. Starter told us they lost 100 trees in the storm but the course itself is really nice. I think the most difficult part of it was the greens were firm so it was tough to get the ball to check up.

Overall, I'd give it an 8.5/10. Only reason it's not higher is the price but at least it's great quality.

Were the greens rolling true and fast? I’ve been hearing mixed reports of the greens. People have been saying that the greens were not in great shape and slow.

They were slow and not breaking as much as they look like. I struggled with downhill putts, I couldn't convince myself mentally that greens where everything is rolling out are also putting slow.

I'm not a maintenance guru so I'm not sure if they're growing them out a little or what the cause is. I saw another post saying they were bumpy but I didn't notice too much of that. If I could do it over, I'd play less break and more speed than what meets the eye.

Bunkers were nice to play out of and fairways were in great shape as well. I'll say this, the rough out there is awesome. It's not the thick stuff that grabs and turns your clubhead on the way through -- it's like the most beautiful flyer lie constantly. Makes playing front pins difficult but it was nice to be able to have a decent look out of the rough for sure.

Woodlands now says they’re losing 600 total trees across the properties with 300 of them being at TPC.

Apparently a lot of them are still standing but club corp wants them removed bc of the way they’re leaning from a liability perspective.

The Palmer is opening tomorrow, no dates have been given still for any of the others and they canceled our mga event for Saturday

Just got an email from The Wilderness in Lake Jackson. They are hoping to open the front nine and driving range in mid to late August..
Seems like substantial tree damage and the current rain has made it impossible for tree crews to get their equipment out.
