That's the main knock against him. He's turned a finesse, artistic sport into a homerun derby
Sounds kind you don’t understand what differentiates the guys who play at the highest level.
Yes, to win a tourney SG putting is an important stat. But over the course of a season or career .. SG off the tee and to the green and (I.e driving and iron play) is what separates the HOF players from the rest of the field

Exact same - that interview opened him up to the world and he came across as a much more down to earth guy.

I decided he was a douche and I wasn’t going to like him, then I saw him on Feherty and did a 180. Funny how you can make someone into what you want

We'll see, you can be that big and that flexible, you just have to be prudent. I really think these guys will be able to play a long time since they are so in tuned with their bodies
I hope so. I don’t want to see anyone lose their career over a preventable injury.

I like that he’s just openly trying to smash the ball into oblivion. Its pretty entertaining. He hasn’t won with this new physique yet but man he has been super consistent, and in contention every time out

He's growing on me but his swing is just awful. All the way down to the putter stroke.

He hasn’t won but the dude has been insanely consistent.
He’s basically a walking ATM.

quote:The NLU boys were talking about this scenario and they were speculating that Bryson may not want to play golf for a long period of time so he’s essentially going to try to maximize the window he is in now and just try and make a bunch of money during that window. I think he is a fascinating player but the only thing I’m not a fan of is that he sometimes plays pretty slow. Otherwise he’s very fun to watch.
I’m afraid his days will be limited. The body just isn’t designed to withstand that much torque.

He is heavy into HGH.
He’s going to make the PGA start testing for roids
Who would’ve thought they would ever have the need for that

Dudes in the lead again.
He’s a walking bank.

Article in Golfweek Online today about that his wedges are killing him because they are all single length.
Not sure that I agree with that 100 %, but he does hit a few balls over the green on approaches.

I know his putting has improved but it seems like if he spent the same time on his short game and putting as getting jacked he would get the same results.
He still hit the ball far last year, just tone it down a bit seems logical.
But he is making a ton of money so go figure.

Hes hitting it like 20 yards farther than that now. He's hitting it like 350-375 a lot of the time

Everything he has done so far was to improve. He came on tour with a terrible approach game. Worked his arse off and became a top 25 ball striker. Then his putting was terrible. Worked on it and became a top 30 putter. Researched and saw it was to his advantage to gain 25 yards. Goes from a top 30 Off the tee guy to top 2 and will be 1.
He has said he needs to improve around the green and I’d put money that he’s top 30 by next season.
The guy is one of the hardest workers on tour and it’s showing. He is a legit 5 win a year player when he turns his short game up.

He’s way too big of a floppy douche for me to even enjoy watching. His insecurity and pace of play are all intolerable.

I don’t hate him or like him. But I can’t stand watching him take forever over every single shot. He’s the slowest really good player on tour. They go to him. Then have to cut away and come back, then he still takes forever. And it’s all the time. I just can’t stand slow players

He just hit one 374 carry lmao
