There is also Cane Row in New Iberia, but I have heard it is deteriorating.
When was the last time you been there? It's in great shape! Please stop spreading false reports.

It was in phenomenal shape for the Cajun 4ball. I wish it were closer, I would look at joining. I love the course.

Yeah Cane Row is actually in great shape right now. Doesn't particularly apply to what OP is looking for but no need to shite on CR. To echo what everyone said LT or Oakbourne is what you are looking for. Both have their pros and cons depending on specifics of what is important to you. Would go visit both before you make a decision if you can.

I agree that the area is growing and jobs should be easy to come by. Just have to find one that fits.

Helps if you are in oil and gas or in a support role for that industry.

Been in construction for the past 13 years and before that was in operations and leadership of a non-profit. So not necessarily oil and gas and of course I know that background would have been beneficial. My wife will be working at Our Lady of the Lourdes Children’s hospital, if we make the move. I’ve applied for some outside sales jobs in construction as that is what I do now. As an LSU grad, I’m just ready to get back South.

Weight room isn't bad now, its just old equipment.
they are actively advertising the updating of the weight room; to what degree i do not know.
i go once a week or so since i can squeeze a shower in if needed after to go back to work.
Monday is 8a - 4:30p, T-Sat 7a - 8p, and Sunday 7a - 5p.
Monday the golf course is closed, so that's why it has odd hours.
I cannot speak further to the pool. they have "discussed it", but frankly i would not trust a pool to be brought back for a while. they are very cost prohibitive.

I thought that was pickleball courts.

There used to be 4 tennis courts. They turned 2 courts into 6 pickleball courts. The pool was where the grass lawn now is next to the 2 tennis courts.

I like the fact that at Oakbourne you can walk 1289 or 123789 if your strapped for time
Course is in very good shape. Greens are finally getting good as well

It’s sad that they are hard to find though. I am overqualified for many in Lafayette and will not be looked at.
