Phil is the 11th highest grossing athlete of all time

Phil Mickelson and Bismack Byombo have almost the same career earnings for their sport.

Phil is really freaking good. 45 PGA Tour wins and 6 majors. One of the best of all time and during the Tiger Era

Let’s also look at Rickie Fowler. If Rickie was a football player he would have made 10-20 million or so and now he is selling insurance. You don’t get to hang around football because you are likeable. Being a golfer let’s a guy like Rickie keeping hanging around and making great money while not actually being a top athlete in his sport

You're a retard

You are still the guy who went out of his way to enter the LIV thread to trash it. There is no defending your position. You are butthurt no matter what you post.

Why deflect? Is he the 11th best athlete in any sport ever? You know the answer, just be honest. It’s ok

Guy posts opinion in a thread on a message board. The horror.

No good answers?

That was your response to my post where your response was “I don’t know.”

Dude, are you just trolling us?

An NFL team looks at the scene and decides who they want to “own” to help their club. Then they enter into a contract with the athlete.

How does that translate to tournament golf at all? Do you see zero difference in individual sports compared to team sports?

Do you WANT a set PGA roster?

Christ that goes directly against the idea of TOURNAMENT GOLF.

Here you guys go again picking the top players. What about the guy who finished 2nd on the LIV tour this week? I'm sure he is happy.

It still is and if the PGA embraced LIV the sport would grow even more. Instead they are melting like children and it’s going to cause a fracturing of talent that isn’t necessary.

Once again, LIV golf is proving you wrong. They can give something to all those that qualify. It might pay their travel. Better than the bullshite they have.

Once again, as a player, taking 100s of millions makes sense. Nobody in here is arguing otherwise

We are trying to wrap our head around how a fan is supporting what is happening.

And when the tour comes to town, and you look for the top names... and they aren't there? Lol. I'm here to see Webb Simpson!
So you want every golfer on tour to be under contract.

And you want to make them play every event.

I’m genuinely trying to piece together what you think is best for golf and the athletes.

You realize the top players getting paid more is what Phil’s entire issue is with the PGA Tour right? He couldn’t give two shits about the bottom third of the players.

Yes, pay all that qualify for your tour. Not all pros.

That’s the best part. Phil and the LIV posse were all arguing on how to put more money in the top players pockets. That was the entire issue

Crimsonian is fighting for the exact opposite on what Phil and his merry brigade of followers want
