To be fair, the leader (P. KWM) is pretty hard to recognize. Any of the asian players really.
It's Phachara Khongwatmai btw so it wouldn't even help if they showed the full name

I don’t understand why people that hate LIV are shitting up this game thread for everyone else.
Go start an RBC Canada thread and circle jerk in there about how much better the PGA Tour is. Also think of supporting the Canadian national open, while that country just halted sales of handguns.

The more this goes on, I hope this league finds a way to be sustainable. Clutching your pearls over the PGA is a hot take. Kudos to the LIV for trying something different.
As far as the tournament, not a fan of the abbreviations but everything looks fine to me.

Crowds will not look the same as PGA since all 48 players are playing at the same time. DJ/Phil have the biggest following.

Because they are miserable and they want everyone else to be as well. Its hurts them that people are enjoying this format, they have to tear it down as much as possible

See how that works?

This whole thing to me is like a tennis exho. I would go to see the guys in-person once or twice, but lose interest after that.

seriously, please go start your own thread if you're not gonna talk about what is going on in Rd 1. Your takes are not wanted here

He doesnt have to go start one, he has been dominating every thread about this all week. I knew he was going to do it in this one as well. He is unlikable and gets off on being so

Only a matter of time until one of these camera guys gets blasted by a bladed or shanked shot. They were just kneeling right in a shot line about 25 yards away.

I’m not moving any goalpost. Anyone with a shred of intellectual honesty knows I didn’t mean zero fans would be there
Colloquially, you can see it In threads on this very board daily. People will be actively watching a game with very poor attendance and say “holy shite nobody is there”
Even while actively seeing people, they will say nobody is there. It’s a clear term used to express an awful crowd, which is what you are seeing with LIV

Lol, I am seeing the crowd 1 row deep everywhere. Even garbage PGA tournaments have 3 times the attendance. I am sure it will grow, but I don't think anyone can brag about the attendance just yet.
Dude, all these top names jumped on board and this came together very very quickly. Many fans have to plan those trips etc.
It will slowly grow.
My biggest takes from everything.
1.PGA has been completely undressed on the money issue. With all of the TV, sponsors, attendance, merchandise, etc money, it's pretty obvious they are Screwing the players on the winnings at tourneys.
2.Banning players who go play a competitors tourney? Shows their desperation
3.IF the LIV holds up to its obligations to pay as promised, and continues to grow (tv deals and ads/sponsors), it will continue to pull talent from the PGA unless the PGA opens its wallets
4. LIV surviving could mean the next Tiger, Rory, etc, could just join LIV and end up costing the PGA billions.
5. LIV is not only a serious competitor, and the PGA is in full panic and proving that thru its actions

Everyone is following DJ/Phil. No one wants to watch Phachara Khongwatmai no matter how many birdies he makes
