But this OP didn’t age well did it?
It aged fine. He said people were saying Brooks was done, and he just finished 2nd in the masters

My childhood golf hero was Seve. My first Masters was '99 when Sergio was low Am and Olazabal won. So I got a weird vibe with the Spanish golfers. Happy for him. Seems like a genuinely good guy.
Crazy, weird stat. Both Sergio and Rahm won on April 9th which is Seve’s birthday

Finishing 2nd in the Masters is done? Yikes. Better tell every golfer in the world not named Rahm they are done. Dummy.

Not at all buddy. I don’t care enough to stay up all night about pro golf. But it’s funny how LIV guys wanna make this week about LIV because some of their guys did good. This week was about The Masters & Augusta National and the greatest golf tournament in the world nothing more.
You’re responding to a question that wasn’t even directed at you. But you’re so hot in the pants against LIV that you couldn’t wait to send a jab at a “LIV guy”

This was the least try hard version of Brooks I can remember. His presser yesterday and today were very refreshing. He smiled and it didn't look like it was the last place he wanted to be. I could get behind that Brooks.

The most likable he’s been in years. He needs to stop being the, I don’t care about anything tough guy, and just be himself

Injuries can change guys a lot. Look how much more personable tiger became after coming back from all his injuries and drama.
I’m sure brooks has been humbled a good bit.

Completely agree. Vulnerability is the best and it was cool to see him show a little bit of that vs being too cool for school.

Agreed, when you have over 100 mill just chilling why do you ever give a frick, but he didn’t hit it well the last 2 days and that’s ok

Who are you calling a dummy?
He said the op was wrong. I’m saying he was right, Koepka isn’t done, he just finished second in the masters.

Sound very angry. I don’t think the majority ever questioned any of those players that left for LIV abilities
You can't be serious

In other news. All that drama about Bennett rushing home to play in his college tournament. He decided not to tee it up this morning.

Brooks hs absolutely folded like a tent. He was -13. Now at -7
His psych is going to be toast after this
It's the Masters and Rahm is the better player. There is nothing surprising about what happened. This was a good week for the LIV guys overall, that can't even be argued.
I completely disagree about his psyche. He won last week, and came in T2 at the Masters. He's got to be feeling good about his game and showed that he can still compete with the best in the world.
He sounded really good afterwards too. The only negative you could take away was that he was a little bitter about the pace of play but everybody should be, and not be afraid to say it.
But lord knows you were praying to God that Brooks didn't win.

definitely had a better attitude with Amanda in the post game interview after shitting the bed, than I thought he would.

When brooks was -13 and leading by 4, there wasn’t a single person that saw him going +4 on his remaining 29 holes

Yea his body language during the final round wasn't great but he knew he didn't have it. By hole 9 it was clear he wasn't hitting it well enough to come back. But despite losing the lead he has to be happy with that performance. Won the week before with -15 in three days and follows it up with a second at the Masters. Got to be feeling good about his game.
I've never been a Brooks fan, but when he's on he's as good as anybody.

I’m not sure about that. It’s about 5 straight majors where he’s been in contention and hasn’t had his best on Sunday (or has struggled once he got close to the lead). Obviously it doesn’t mean that will be the case forever and he should absolutely be encouraged after last year’s major performances. But it’s hard to think that his psyche is the same as it was in early 2019.

Yea I mean I'm not saying it's at it's peak. I'm just saying this was not a bad thing for him. Obviously you don't want to lose a lead on Sunday, but it was a strong tournament.
last we saw of Brooks talking about his psyche was on Netflix and he was doubting if he could ever hang with a guy like Scheffler. This has to tell him, yea, I can still win against the best.
