this is not good for the game.
All blame goes to the PGA tour.
They are the ones who are banning players and not playing ball.
LIV is letting their players play in any other events they can/are able to.
The Tour is taking its ball and going home not LIV.

I suspect that LIV is going to tweak its team format and base it on Countries with sponsors backing those country specific teams similar to the way Indian Cricket teams operate with additional revenue being added to the players pockets.
Example would be Srixon sponsoring the Japanese LIV team.

It's not.
The Tour players have a union and collectively bargain with the owners of the PGA Tour?

So if a player that signed one of those huge up front contracts with LIV decides to skip a few of those tourneys to play somewhere else that week LIV will be fine with that? Somehow I doubt that.

You are not going to change my mind nor I yours.
Arnold and Jack walked out on Norman.
Tiger said No Thanks.
That's good enough for me.

Of course not, they're under contract. PGA Tour players aren't under contract like the LIV players. You're stupid point is stupid

So when you get a PGA tour card you don't sign an agreement that you will abide by their rules? What;s the difference between that and their contract with LIV, aren't both actually a contract? If those guys want to go play scrambles on the LIV that's their right, doesn't mean the PGA tour has to let them still be members.
Mingo I suspect your intellect is as lacking as your stature you hack.

LIV contract: you are contractually obligated to play these specific events
PGA Tour contract: you are contractually obligated to play x number of events unless you meet one of these numerous caveats
Just because both have contracts doesn't mean they're the same.

Says the person that doesn't understand the difference between a contract for set events and that of independent contractors.
No one made you make a retarded statement like you did. That's no one's fault but your own.

Yes they sign agreements when the get a Tour Card.
The Tour Card has certain conditions, like drug tests, moral clauses, 15 tournament minimums, submitting to equipment tests, playing in Pro-Am, paying entry Fees and on and on.

I like to see players navigate the course from beginning to end.
Don't they still have to navigate the course?
Does it really matter that much if you start on 1, as opposed to 10?

So the contract signed upon joining the PGA tour says you must ask for a release to play other events scheduled at the same time as PGA tour events does it not? The PGA tour doesn't feel like it's in their best interest to give releases for LIV events. I don't see what is so hard to understand about this, those guys made their decision to play the LIV tour and the PGA made their decision to ban them from their tour.

If you would have said this the first time I would have agreed with you, but you didn't

The PGA of America current bylaws state that a player must have a current PGA Tour card to play in the PGA Championship .
As it stands now, the LIV players that lost their cards would not be allowed into the PGA Championship field next year.

Saudis are trillionaire$!
They can buy airtime for their events wherever they choose and run commercial free if they want.
This is not a for profit venture.
I refer you to the earlier post explaining the "Sportswashing" Concept.

So what is their real motive ?
Hard to believe that they are really concerned about their image when they just had a US President groveling at their feet for oil.

Rich boys like their toys, expecially toys that focus a lot of worldwide media coverage on them.
Saudis are probably chalking this one up as a win already based on the media attention so far

Jacked help start the breakaway PGA Tour.
Jack was in negotiations with LIV until his own company sued him and made him stop.

I've got zero interest in wanting to do something like that,” Nicklaus said. “I don't care what kind of money they would have thrown at me. My allegiance has been to the PGA Tour. I grew up on the PGA Tour. I helped found the PGA Tour as it is today. My allegiance is there and it's going to stay there.”
