How many people do you realistically know that go to tournaments other than Majors or the one in their market? I'm guessing none
Thanks for proving my point that there isn’t some source of untapped fans out there
The LIV product isn’t unique enough to attract new fans or bring new players into the game of golf.

To the casual fan what is so different about LIV that is going to make them pull up YouTube to watch a tournament?
Or what is going to attract a new fan that the PGA couldn’t attract?
It’s still watching golf shots over and over
The answer is nothing. So they will have to draw their viewers from the current pool of golf fans. There will be a certain percentage that start loyal to the pga and there will be a certain percentage that don’t feel like going out of their way to pull it up on YouTube.
If they had some crazy good product they would already have a TV deal, but I’m sure most networks see it the same way.

All the tournaments aren't in America

All 6 are playing in LIV Boston this weekend?
Yes.
Thanks!
You’re welcome!

Around half the tournaments are going to be outside of the US.
All LIV has said is they're expanding their worldwide footprint. They haven't provided any specifics as to how many additional events outside the US there will be or where those events would be played. Saying around half will be outside the US is a complete guess. They currently have events in the UK, Thailand, and Saudi Arabia. If I had to guess, they'll add an event in Japan and Australia for 5 total events outside the US. Most of their premier players are still Americans and/or reside in the US, and I'd imagine they'd try to accommodate the travel schedules of those guys. I doubt a lot of those guys, especially the older crowd, want to be traveling overseas that often.

It's not official, just what's being talked about by golf media. I'd expect they open and close in the US and play 6 or so (about half like I said) around the world.
I find it really fricking weird that you guys do whatever you can to try to argue with me when I'm posting shite thats not at all controversial and been covered a million times by every media outlet that's ever had a golf article.

They are a self-proclaimed “global” golf league. They announced their 2023 golf league as having 14 events across North and Latin Americas, Asia, Australia, the Middle East and Europe.
While maybe more than “half” of the events will be in the US, at least 5/14 will be outside of the US. That would be great if they keep at least 7/14 events in the US.

It seems this "Global" league has already been tried before and yet most tournaments still end up in the US.

The WGC's? They're owned by the American Tour and they've morphed to something completely outside of what they said they were going to be.

Why did they morph? Was it because of profits and money?

Im not sure there's any easy answer to that. A million reasons I'm sure. Some off the top of my head would be competing markets with the European Tour and hard to travel because the Tour is already locked into a large US schedule.

you argue every single nuance and insignificant detail of others posts on here, while calling them idiots in the process. Maybe don't get so offended when people do the same to you.

Not knowing the basic facts is pretty significant, imo. Like you not knowing the Asian Tour partnership.

Well, they are when I say that.

Im not, I just tell people when they're wrong when they're wrong. A lot of people get their panties in a wad when that happens

It is almost always about money.

Seems funny that the LIV Players that left citing that they want to be at home with their families more will now spend more time flying and increased tournaments that are mandatory.

Cam Smith hadn't seen his family in 2 years before a couple of months ago. LIV is going to be Feb through October. 3 full months off. The Tour ended last week and starts in two
