Yes. But this should have been a press conference to apologize and announce the dropped charges. Otherwise what the frick was the point of this?

It was fairly pointless but the facts the cops not only aren’t publicly backing Gillis, they are publicly admitting he broke protocol, makes this very easy on the DA to drop charges

Mayor basically said he hopes this is over on the 3rd.

That was a gigantic waste of time for everyone. ITR radio had some very insightful info even though they said it was hearsay. It was hearsay from other officers.

ITR radio. Do they publish their shows like many other stations do? You say it was an interesting conversation then never share what was said.

I have no clue. Basically, cops on the property told Carl (I think) that this isn't going anywhere. Also, cops working the accident scene told CP that Gillis was directing traffic 15 minutes after arrest. He did not go straight to the hospital to treat injuries.

video from overhead camera
It's at the bottom of the article. You can't see the initial details as blocked by the busses.. But at the :50 SEC mark... You can see Scheffler's car turning left and an officer chasing him and all that takes place

Cops really want to make every demographic hate them with shite like this

I have no idea why they wouldn’t just drop the charges. This feels like this is going nowhere in terms of helping the Louisville PD.

Lying cock suckers. frick Louisville

That cop is a liar, and on a power trip. He has no business wearing a badge.

They can absolutely get the DA on the horn and tell him that they messed up and get a noble prosequi for Scheffler. They could’ve done that by noon of the day of incident.

And the officer has had issue before .. and not good issues ...
Looks like LPD really milking this for publicity as they know the history of this guy and still back him up.
