Seriously thinking about the new 7.5 model.
Not a Scotty expert at all and have never owned one, but it seems that the new series is longer from heel to toe.
Anyone gaming the new Phantoms and what your opinions are ?

I’m holding out until the 7.6 is released

Ouch. I’d cancel that order (if you can) and get one in stock and have a local person set it up to your specs; but only if it’s something simple. I had a local guy set mine up to my specs, which is a pretty simple upright adjustment. Had it in hand two days after I ordered it. If you have a complicated setup, that may not be an option.
I’m playing the 2022 5.5. I’m digging it. Has a really nice weight and nice feel to it. Feels pretty soft on centered hits and is really forgiving. Not 100% sold on the grip though. That said, IMO they are a lot better than the older Scotty grips. You’d figure with the price tag they’d do a little better on that front.
All in all, it’s a keeper.

I have a older model Scotty Select Fastback.
When I brought it, the guy said it wasn't a fake and I didn't care because I liked the feel and weight of it and he sold it to me cheap. I accidentally bent the shaft and had it replaced. The guy did a so-so job replacing it and I never putted the same with it since. He also said it was a original Scotty. I been thinking of sending it back to Scotty because most of the fill in paint is gone and get the correct shaft. Is there another way the tell if it is not a fake and is there anyone else that can do a refurb on it?
Thanks in advance

FIL just got one. I am not a huge SC guy either, but that thing is nice.

You can send it in to Scotty to have it authenticated ($$) but the fastest way I know is to join the Scotty Cameron page on FB and post some pictures. 96K members there that live and breath all things SC and they can tell you if it’s fake. It’s a really popular topic there that people love to chime in on. You’ll probably get multiple posters that have that same Fastback posting pics of theirs and noting any differences. They will also give you multiple places that can refurb it. Good luck.

Post pictures of it. There's pretty obvious tells.
And I have a good friend who runs a refinishing business if you need someone

Let me know who and I will get him to do it. Scotty wants almost $400 to do it.
