So you agree that it’s bc of Monahan & not Norman. As stated above, LIV & Norman would be fine with an alliance.
Not at all.
Norman's hate for the Tour goes way back to Dean Beeman who along with Palmer and Nicklaus shut Norman down several times.
You have to ask yourself this question.
Why is Norman even involved with LIV in the first place.
He is 67 years old and worth 400 million. So what is his motivation to become the CEO of LIV when he can live a great life without them.

Is this similar speculation to when they claimed they were getting world ranking points?
This is still likely to happen. Nothing has been decided for certain.

I’m sure it will happen with time. They claimed the Bangkok event was getting points and it didn’t. They just try to speak shite into existence.
There’s no policy reason it was slow walked by the OWGR. It was purely out of spite for LIV, which is pathetic for grown men in a supposed sport of gentlemen. Then again, rich golf people have always been good about exclusion rather than inclusion.

The process for OWGR inclusion can take one or two years to complete—and after that there is a standard three-year probationary period. Furthermore, the OWGR bylaws state that a prospective tour must adhere to the OWGR guidelines for at least one year immediately prior to inclusion.

You are very uniformed.

To grow the game of golf internationally & to make money? The PGA mob/media want you to think it’s all some big vendetta/revenge plot against the PGA.
It’s not.

5/8 events in US this year. 10/14 on North American soil in 2023. He sucks at his job of growing the game internationally. How about visit places like Vietnam? That is how you grow the game internationally.

Speculation in Miami has linked Patrick Cantlay, Xander Schauffele, Mito Pereira and Thomas Pieters with LIV.

While he didn't offer any names, speaking to the press about plans for 2023, CEO Greg Norman explained how many he'd like - seven, and of a suitably high calibre. He said: "Basically we're looking for maybe seven players, something like that." He was then asked: "We're talking Top 10, Top 20 players?" Norman responded: "Yes. You said both. So I said yes."

You have no idea what the schedule will look like, but yes majority of their tournaments will probably be in US.

The LIV Golf 2023 schedule is expected to be released at the end of November.
They’ve already played tournaments in England, Bangkok, and Saudi Arabia. We can probably expect a return to all of these countries, while there is also a desire to visit the countries of some of LIV’s most prominent players, meaning stops in Australia, Spain and South Africa are also being touted.
How many PGA tournaments, with the best players in the world, go to these countries?

Maybe he wants to make the PGA great again?

They're not even close to being done.
Unless they change their field size... They kinda have to be "close to being done"
( Unless they are going to pay people to sit)

I really don't need the PGA tour and media to tell me what I'm seeing and have seen:
An exceedingly talented golfer whose talent pales in comparison to his ego. Who has for 30ish yrs campaigned against the PGA Tour and for an elite's global tour ...who now has the backing of the world's biggest sugar daddy and enabled him to buy talent. He hasn't changed and any talk alliance is, to me, Greg's desire to have an elite's format .. But maintaing the PGA tour as the training ground for his tour.
Tell me why the PGA tour is supposeed to jump on board with this?

There will 60 players on the roster in 2023. 12 Teams of 4, plus 1 alternate

So how would they award world ranking points when they play against the same field every tournament ?
LIV is very top heavy at the moment.
Posted on 11/4/22 at 8:33 pm to bopper50
The criteria for getting world ranking points is laid out. LIV doesn’t qualify for them, simple as that. It has nothing to do (yet) with people picking on them and everything to do with them not meeting multiple requirements.

Such as? I bet I can name a tourney that gets WGR points for every deficiency you point out.
