It definitely seems like a more simple hole, but it is swallowing a lot of balls from the pros. Sometimes distance is deceiving but I wouldn't know how it is until I got a shot at it.

I big problem was the wind on the tee was one thing, but the wind aloft was much more.

They don't let you play the back tees where they play from is straight at it. Blue tees are off to the left and it's more of a diagonal look. Plus it was a 2 club wind into the grill. I'm a 6.6 on the Ghin it's not as easy/straight forward as you think. Shot a 91 with 3 triples.
3 of the guys in our group that are scratch all were between 77-79.

For the pros, it seems like an easy hole to make par on if you want to make par. But if you want a 2, you bring 4/5 into play.

I irrationally hate Matthew Fitzpatrick's golf swing. It's such an annoying swing with how quick his backswing is.

Has any phrase in golf been absolutely beat to death like “better than most”?

It’s not even in Tiger’s top 10 golf shots. It’s way overplayed because of the commentary. Tiger’s eagle putt on the 18th on Saturday at Torrey Pines was bigger.

That's not the only reason.
I get the obvious advantage of the length off the tee, but pulling 6 iron from 235 is just for show. Watching that jacked up swing and come up 30yds short made me LOL.

He didn’t complain about the shot, he complained about the green softness. Last week it was the worst bunker on tour. I just don’t like him.
