Playing with fewer clubs.

I bought a Sunday bag and played at a muni a few days ago. I brought 9 clubs. I really enjoyed it, in spite of being way out of practice. I think I'll stick with it. Do you play with fewer clubs?

No, but I don’t always use every club in the bag. I’d rather have it and not need it.

One year my best round was with 9 or 10 clubs.

I think playing with fewer clubs is a cool test. Makes you have to be able to play a bunch of different shots. I personally just don’t get to play enough to do it. If I could play multiple times a week I’d probably do it every once In a while.

Used to do this in my younger years. 5, 7, 9 and putter. Funny thing is score was basically the same. Of course this was on a short course. Eunice Country club. Learn new shots. Wouldn't take a bag

Also I was a much better player in my 20s
