It's not anti-PXG as much as it's the same reason I dont like TM or Callaway. Might make great products but in 3mos it'll be worth half.
Exactly. It's treating the loyal consumers that buy the new introduced products at full price like crap.
Everyone understands normal business cycles and new product introductions.

Thier irons perform very well and I love the MMT shafts.
The Woods are above average but not spectacular.

They dropped the Driver price from 499 to 299 in 3 months.
And its still grossly overpriced

I've been playing a Cobra LTDX LS driver some.
My Nephew asked to borrow it for his club tournament.
I don't believe that I am getting it back lol..

I was fitted for a driver at Club Champion.
Best data was with Cobra LTDx with a Adila Ascent red shaft.
I’m not a big hitter.
After many rounds, I can say that it has performed better than my M2- especially on misses.
On a good swing it is longer, but on heel strikes or high on face strikes- it really goes almost same distance.
My 86 mph swing has produced consistently a distance of 230 or so with occasional trips to 240 and rare trips to 250+.
It is a fairway finder. I hit about 80% of fairways with it.

Way more important than distance, IMO.
Give me 240 in the fairway over 280 in a bunker any day

Your "opinion" is a factual inaccuracy backed up by billions of data points

"distance doesn't matter"
Here's billions of shots collected by a Columbia professor, who loves golf and is paid by numerous tour pros to analyze their game, that shows distance is more important that accuracy.

There is a caveat.
280 in the rough over 250 in the fairway in fine if the golfers are strong enough to get the ball out of that rough shot with the proper height and distance.

The data accounts for that

I have always played hit it as far as I can and deal with the next shot because I have the strength.

I have to hit cart path to go 280.
In general, fairway helps me because in our neighborhood course the boundaries are close. Also, I’m not at a short distance from hole on most good drives. I could see where IF you really bomb it to wedge distance - and keep it in bounds- you will score better, but if I miss fairway and I’m further back because of a lack of roll, it hurts me.
One thing nice about not being long is I can’t reach the white stakes most of the time.
I wish I could hit it further, but from the proper tee, the game is fun.

There are plenty of Scratch golfers that can't hit a drive over 250.

This what our little data nerd is missing. For me, distance isnt an advantage for my game. So, IMO, it's not as important.

Of course it is. Pick your ball up and move it 20 yards forward from your tee shot. Let me know what that does to your score.

As long as it is in bounds, not in a hazard, distance is an advantage especially to big hitters.
My 86mph swing ain’t gonna launch a 300+ drive which is just a reality.
I know finding fairways at our tree lined course with white stakes and hazards on a majority of holes is beneficial in general for moi.
I agree that IF I hit the ball further, I could score better.

Why not just hit 7 iron every time then? You'd hit even more fairways.
