Joseph Bartholomew
NOLA City Park North
NOLA City Park South
Audubon Park
English Turn
Lakewood
Stonebridge
Timberlane
TPC Louisiana
Grand Ridge
Cypress Lakes
Riverlands
Belle Terre
Santa Maria
LSU
BR City Park
Webb
Greystone
Pines at North Park
JS Clark
Copper Mill
Beaver Creek
The Bluffs
1. TPC Louisiana
2. The Bluffs (key word: layout!)
3. City Park South
4. Beaver Creek (more isolated than SM, which I like)
5. Santa Maria
6. Coppermill
7. Audubon (It's a very cool course for only par 62)
8. Cypress Lakes
9. BR City Park (For it's location, a great course)
10. Riverlands
11. Grand Ridge
12. LSU
13. NOLA City Park South
All the others I either have never played or it's been years since I've played them.

Not gonna waste my time making a list but this ones pretty bad. Ranking LSU 12 when it may be the worst course in the state lol
Posted on 9/28/20 at 12:57 pm to NorceauxTigerFan
Courses I've played:
NOLA City Park South
English Turn
Lakewood
TPC Louisiana
Santa Maria
LSU
BR City Park
Webb
Greystone
Pines at North Park
Copper Mill
Beaver Creek
The Bluffs
Courses to Add:
Carter Plantation
Pelican Point
My List:
Bluffs
English Turn
Carter Plantation
Copper Mill
BR City Park
Beaver Creek
Santa Maria
Pelican Point
Lakewood
TPC LA
City Park South
Greystone
LSU
Webb
Pines at North Park
Layout only. And the more I look at my list, the more it could be tiers. If you tell me Beaver Creek is better than Pelican Point or Santa Maria or vice versa, I'm not going to argue.
TPC and CP South are well maintained, I just don't find the layouts to be anything special.

Out of the 13 I've played recently, it's 12th. I know its bad genius. I'm not saying its 12th in the whole state. Read the post.

I kind of agree, but I think they did pretty well for the lack of elevation change in LA. That's why the Bluffs are high on mine, just a nice change of pace from all the flat courses around here.

Of what I've played
1. TPC
2. Lakewood
3. Audubon
4. City Park South Nola
5. English Turn (currently)
6. Cypress Lakes
7. Stonebridge
They had so much potential with the Nola City Park South project and managed to build a completely boring course. There isn't one hole that makes me excited to go back and play it again. Always well maintained though.
TPC is probably the best in the Nola area based on layout, conditions, amenities but it is natural limitations of the area where its built hinders it a bit. English Turn used to be my favorite up until recently where it has seemed to go to shite. Audubon is always fun to play.

City Park South
English Turn
TPC
Bartholemew
Audubon
Lakewood
LaTour would be #1 but it doesn’t meet the criteria.
Also, my rankings are based off how much i prefer them. I know TPC is superior to the South Course. I just like the south, easier and closer to my house. The last 3 times i played TPC the course just wrecked me. Definitely makes me realize how easy South Course is though.

I heard it got back to normal. I think there was a major drop off when management switched. But they get it back on track (So I am told...)

TPC shows you how good the pros really are. It is maybe the easiest course the tour stops at yet can still be difficult for the average golfer. 4, 6, 12, 15 are all big boy PGA Tour par 4's from the tips. All of the par 3's from the back tees are really hard too.

Yeah I played TPC a month ago and couldn’t straighten my drive for shite. It kicked my arse.

It’s the greens that are so hard for me.

How is Audubon on a Friday? Jam packed? Plan on playing in October.
Posted on 9/30/20 at 11:16 am to greenwave
I’ve played it once. It was on either Friday or Saturday afternoon. Jam packed. That’s my only experience though.

I really think the Bluffs layout is overrated. I played it when it was in great shape, and it really didn’t blow me away. I do get to travel a lot and play courses with elevation change, so maybe that why it didn’t impress me as much. It’s got a few cool holes, but there are several better designed courses around here imo, even though they’re flat. The “signature” par 3 is a pretty goofy hole in my opinion.

What’s so great about it? A few holes you get to hit a downhill tee shot and 18 has a split fairway? Woopty doo!
Posted on 10/1/20 at 11:29 pm to dpd901
FYI I’ve only played it when 9 was the split fairway and the course was mint. My idea of a great track is memorability. Haven’t played it many times and I distinctly remember 1, 9, 17, 18. A couple solid par 3s in between as well.
Would love to hear the “better designed courses around here” you’re referring to. For example I’ve played CCL just as many times as the Bluffs and I don’t remember a single hole out there.

The Bluffs is a very good layout. Being from Missouri I play a lot of courses with tons of elevation change, especially down in the southern part of the state. I would say it's the best layout in Louisiana of the courses I've played. Personally I think Quail Hollow is the best layout (public) within an hour of BR. It's the same issue though. Just poor conditioning.
