This tournament is part of the Asian Tour circuit and was played from 2/3/22 - 2/6/22 at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club – Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Looking back now at the field/leaderboard, it's interesting to look back at the amount of names that are still with PGA (in bold) & who has joined LIV.

Not suggesting that all players in bold will join LIV, but it's interesting to look at. I believe some guys like HV3, Finau, & Schauffele have made pretty strong statements that they are staying on the PGA Tour.

What I find amazing is how many that went to LIV that I have never heard of.

because LIV is partnered with the Asian Tour & are trying to make it a global field. Golf is more than just the PGA. I probably couldn't recognize 10 names playing on the DP Tour or Asian Tour.

This is why I dont get the people bashing LIV. It's such short sighted take to have. PGA is but a small portion of global golf. Ostracizing players from it that join LIV is only weakening an already weak part of the game.
PGA fricked this one up

Most of the LIV players on the list are either in the twilight of their career or they have a difficult time winning or getting a top ten finish.

The LIV event next week has almost twice as many top 100 players as the 3M Classic.
But the facts aren't important to you so disregard.

Imagine that. The best players take some time off after a major. That is a luxury you have when you are not told when and where to play.

I clearly said the names on the OP's list.
Why are you such a pea brain ?

& "most" of the LIV golfers in that list are still in the top 100 of OWGR. I don't understand why LIV haters act like golfers that are ranked in the top 100 "aren't good any more".
You kind of missed the point of the post though bc what if 6-10 of those names in bold decide to join LIV in a few weeks? I don't think you would say many of those guys are in the "twilight of their career or have a hard time winning".

12 out of 19 (63%) actually.

The names on OP's list have as many or more top 100 rankings than this week's pga tour event, pea brain.
You really are not very smart

OK, let me give you this small victory and my final thoughts on LIV.
As of now, I'm not a fan of the no cut, their production value or their graphics.
I guess LIV will become like the Cowboys, you either love them or hate them.
I'm a Saints fan.

No idea why people care about this. Some of the biggest Tour events have no cut, and the Masters cuts like 20 guys with like 10 past Champions over 60 in the field so almost no cut.
They're still playing for a shite load in the team format so everyone's score matters everyday and is worth a lot of money.
Just a bizzare hill to die on

I will agree this is less of an issue with the Tour because you only have to see it 15 minutes or so every hour because the rest of the time is spent in commercial

The only reason Bubba Watson hasn't been announced to LIV yet is because he had surgery for a torn meniscus in late May.

Could be a generational thing for me in believing the weekend play should be earned.
I didn't like when they did away with Q School. That was the greatest 5 days in golf. The pressure was unbelievable.
I have had friends that played on Tour and I saw what making or missing the cut does to them.
I am also not a huge fan of most of the no cut events on Tour. They were created as space fillers originally when a tournament lost a sponsor or folded, now they are about the revenue. I do like the occasional match play event.
Just my opinion. It may be old school, but I have learned that sometimes change doesn't mean better.

I'd say get off your knee's for the LIV but we all know you wouldn't have to even bend over. We get it you think the LIV is great, you don't have to fluff them in every thread.

I don't. I think there are a couple serious flaws that need to be cleaned up.
But I also don't think it's the end of the world it exists and I think the team aspect will be pretty cool once they fill out their roster. Other than that, I'm really indifferent about the other things like the shotgun start.
I'll watch golf that brings good players to the table. That included LIV, the pga tour, and the DP World Tour. I probably won't tune in to much Butterfield Bermuda championship though.

How is pointing out factually innaccuries, like players' world rank, which takes 5 seconds to verify, fluffing LIV?
