Hope that everyone stays safe and get through the storms intact.

I still have nightmares about Hurricane Betsy from years ago.

Be safe, good thoughts for y'all and hopefully we are all back on the course soon.

I remember Betsy too. It didn’t treat BR very well.

My lasting memory of Betsy is that it blew down a monster oak tree in the middle of 6 fairway, about 50 yards past the ditch, at Webb. I never have decided if it helped or hurt the hole, but it sure changed it.

Never played Webb with that tree in place. Was it left of that big fairway trap on the left? That would have really toughened up that hole.

My memory of a fairway bunker on 6 is a little hazy, which is unbelievable since I probably played it over 1,000 times in the 60's, but the tree was in the dead center of the fairway, about 50 yards past the ditch. I was a high-ball hitter and could go over it; most people played right or left. The green on 6 is also about 40 yards back of where it originally was.
