I remember playing as a kid with a Pinnacle Gold and feeling like a king

With that being said you’re right, a 25 handicapper shouldn’t care about what ball they use. The clubs also don’t matter
Sarcasm???
I have become jaded over the "shiny new toy" urge.
The new Mizuno M13's look so sweeeeeet. Want.
I have a 2019 Mizuno ST190. I figured the new ST430's would give me more tech and find more fairways. Nope. Tried all 3 models and various shafts and I still hit my 2019 tech as good if not better.
Had some extra cash and wanted to upgrade my driving iron. I currently play a 2005 MP60 FliHi 3-iron. With all the rave reviews I was convinced the new 245 Pro FliHi 2-iron would surely give me 5-10 extra yards. Nope. Fitter basically said, "why are you here?"
I'm only a 9-10ish hdcp and, as mentioned, I have played rounds in the 70'a with everything from TopFlight to TaylorMade. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the feel of a TM TP5 or the Maxfli Tour. Soft and sweet. I just do not produce enough spin to really tell the difference in performance. For me, it's only feel off the face. I play the Maxfli Tour X. Good ball for me.
Hey, that's just me. Individual results may vary.

For value, playability, etc... Kirklands balls will work for 95% of players. $38 for 2 dozen is almost insane.

Been really hard for me to dump the Srixon Z Star Diamond.
Otherwise ProV or Vx.
I always find this callaways chrome tours and like them, just have never bought a case.
Don’t trust TM quality control for a ball that expensive and I play TM metals exclusively fwiw.

I loved the 2019 TP5 Ball, then it changed.
Review -
I played the 2026 TP5 ball Saturday and it is as good as any ball on the market IMO now .
I play a yellow ball and my biggest complaint was the paint job got dirty quickly. That is not the case now with the new paint technology on the 2026 balls.
It got windy on the back nine and the ball performed very well .
As far as distance, it was as good as any other premium ball. I hit what I thought was a fat 9 iron and I was surprised that it carried to the pin.
A very good feeling ball off the irons and the putter.
The pricing is ridiculous just like other premium balls. For that reason only, I will probably stick with the TM Tour Respone ball for every day rounds.

The ball I've played for a few years, love them. The newer ones are not nearly as good. I play them for the lower trajectory in the wind here in the winter. Newer ones go much higher than the older ones.
