They made several comments during the broadcast the tour made it somewhat easy for them on the first day because the greens were rolling out so much. They mentioned the par 3s specifically could be much more difficult.

The way they were talking before the tournament, they made it sound like a US Open course. They thought the creators yesterday would have a hard time breaking 45 on 9 holes, and about half of them shot even or better
