I try to keep my chest on the ball/smother the ball with my chest at impact. IDK, something I was taught in a lesson and translated well to me.

I play my best when I focus on looking at the front of the ball rather than the back of the ball. Right eye dominant for what it's worth. I feel like it helps me to compress it better. Works especially well on chipping and pitching.

What probably happening is you’re getting the club too far behind your body in the backswing. This starts a chain of events that leads to you standing up through impact. A good pro can get you taking it away correctly, which will fix a lot of other things

Does the head move in a good golf swing?
Wanting to see where it goes is why I tend to see people doing it. It (should) still be in the air when the follow through brings you up, and you should have some idea where to look for it by the feel of the shot.

Have this really bad habbit that pops up off and on. Always accompanied by swinging too hard. Any tips or drills to correct this, other than just "keep your head down" haha?
When I am doing this, it usually means that I have too much weight on my toes and not in the middle of my feet if that makes sense. Shift your weight back some and that usually cures the problem for me.

I remember years ago a golf pro told me the best way to keep your head down was to tie a string around your forehead and the other end around your sack. A couple of swings should break you of the habit !
