That doesn’t even make sense.

Bryson and Rickie pretty much a shoe in for the next event in Portland. I would imagine Kokrak will be in as well. The list will continue to get bigger and better I presume as other guys like Adam Scott initially showed interest.

Going to be very, very interesting to see how this thing shakes out.

Ok? But what if your employer said they couldn't compete with that offer? There is no way the PGA can compete with these contracts and stay afloat.

At the end of the day Jay Monahan will lose in court and lose his job and in the NFL Roger Goodell will lose againt Jon Gruden and Goodell will be a goner also... too Commissioner with entirely too much power!

Did you ask to work for your company's rival on the side while still working for your current company? If they said no, and you accepted employment with the rival, would you be welcomed back? My guess is no

OK. Sounds like the free market at work. If DJ can get better money on a rival tour, sounds like the PGA needs to step-up its game. If DJ plays in the RBC and misses the cut, he doesn't get paid. He's out the expenses of travel, plays in the pro-Am, kisses babies, signs autographs...and all that stuff.

How is this different than any other labor dispute? What am I missing?

Now do the Saudi’s opening a new football league poaching NFL’s best players at end of their career and primarily the best college players that are still trying to prove themselves.

Would that bother you? More importantly, do you think it would bother the SEC?

The NFL doesn’t seem to have a problem with the USFL.

mmThe USFL doesn’t have Saudi oil money to lure the best players away.

That is true. Does it matter where the money comes from?

If the USFL had unlimited money and signed TomBrady, I promise you the nfl would start to care

Not to me. Some self-righteous people might suggest it does.

Wells that’s our point

If an entity with near trillions of dollars came and started taking nfl players, and promising them money to play less, would you root them on?

The problem is you are comparing two totally different scenarios. NFL players aren’t independent contractors. Again, the NFL doesn’t seem to have a problem with the USFL.
Actually I could care less about either.

My hope is that it crashes, but causes the Tour to look in the mirror for the first time and figure out how to turn out a better product for us consumers.

My hope is it succeeds and the PGA looks like a bunch of dumbasses for holding suspensions over the head of independent contractors

And if the Saudi’s start going after SEC and Big Ten players for a football league you would be supporting it?
