On the NLU pod, they said that sources claim Kuchar was mad that nobody warned him about the group ahead being in the fairway when he was hitting his tee shot. So, he just decided not to play any more shots.
I didn't watch any of the tournament, but it sounds like Rai is unbelievably slow. I would imagine that you Kuch should assume they are in the fairway if he has been waiting all day.

If that's his reasoning, that doesn't even make sense. So noboody (a marshall?) warned him he may have hit into someone so he inconvenienced a bunch of other people to make them watch him play half a hole today? Honestly, that makes him sound even worse and even more of a petty douchebag
He was also completely unapologetic about it after his 1/2 hole today. He excuses his decision as if the logic doesn't change by him being completely out of contention to win the tournament or play in the playoffs. Just says it was dark and what he did was SOP. He's a dick

Looks like he showed up today and immediately asked for TIO, got it, and dropped in an adjacent fairway.
