I am trying the xero shoes and jump rope method. Ill let you know in a few days if I am crippled or not
My best relief was with the inserts the foot doctor made for me with some hokas
so far I have tried chiropracter
foot doctor
physical therapist(laser therapy, dry needling)
best relief is doing exercises that the PT came up with and the hoka shoes with the inserts. I still feel a little discomfort at the end of the day but not terrible.
so lets see what the xero shoes and the jump rope do

2nd day in, not too bad to be honest. I felt it a little last night but pretty manageable.

Wear those Xeros as much as you can and just walk around or go to the gym. If you believe the marketing hype, you can increase foot strength by upwards of 40% by simply wearing the shoes.

still holding up well. I had been noticing weird clicking, grinding, and popping in my knee or hip in the morning the last few months since going hard with the hokas and the insert..... but not getting that in the morning anymore. I thought that the PF or the shoes were messing up my gait and would maybe long term mess up my knees or hips..... but not gonna lie, in just 3 days these shoes are working well. It seems better every day. I can also push around in the area right in front of the heel and dont feel any pain. I know in the past that I could push there and feel some pain or discomfort.
Ill continue to update.

I’ve heard mixed things from others who tried it, but foot taping at night is cheap and it worked for me.

Powerstep Pinnacle insoles resolved mine. Took a couple of weeks. I have them in every shoe I own.

Got rid of this a few years back by having the physical therapist put some kind of needle in the calf area, and running a mild electric current through it. Forget what the proper name for it was but it worked with just three sessions. And have good arch support in most shoes of course; and barefoot at home.

I found success in getting rid of mine in both feet by stretching. Very simple. Stretch before bed. Wake up and stretch. The PF is the weakest link in a chain of muscles that run from your back all the way down. Your hamstrings are huge and they will pull up your leg and the weakest link will break. Stretch those guys out. Bend the foot back get that Achilles stretched out. Get those calves nice and loose. All the other ideas and gimmicks may help but I personally found stretching to be the key. I used to have flare ups, I changed my behaviors. Zero PF issues since. Good luck. It’s very painful.

Good advice here. Also used flip flops with built in high arches and will never go back.
Frozen golf balls rolled around the area helps me too.

Took over 6 months for me to heal.

I sleep with a night boot and have to be careful what shoes I wear.
