I have tried everything under the sun and gone through different showering/shampoo cycles and nothing seems to work. Same itchy dry scalp with white flakes everywhere.
Anyone have any success stories with controlling it?

Read that this product may help with severe dandruff.

And, maybe a dermatologist can help.

Did you try no shampoo? Shampoo is loaded with harsh chemicals. Try water only unless your hair starts getting greasy, then only a very small amount.

Head and Shoulders? It takes a week or two to get going. Lather up good and massage scalp for about 30 seconds to a minute. Use every day.

Do you have actual dandruff, or is it dry scalp? They are two different things. Using dandruff shampoo on dry scalp won’t help.

True. Dandruff, as we use the word, usually means a dermatitis caused by a yeast. Dandruff shampoos work by anti fungal properties. I have tons of experience with it. Chronic dry scalp/skin is different.

I believe it is dandruff as anytime I run my hand through hair, white flakes fall everywhere. My scalp constantly itches and it seems I'm not sure whether to use head and shoulders which I've tried for years, or a hydrating shampoo. I will say I have very oily face and skin so not sure if it is just dry scalp.

You may need prescription strength keto.
It’s something you will deal with the rest of your life.
I even get it in my beard and it sucks.
But I currently use Dr Eddie’s Happy Cappy shampoo. It’s baby shampoo for seborrheic dermatitis.

You prob have a fungus problem and certain ingredients in products actually will increase the amount on your skin. Prob should go to a dermatologist. They can do a little skin scrape and see if it’s a yeast problem.
I use the happy cappy shampoo instead of head and shoulders for that reason
