Flu shot or not?

Debating it at the moment after seeing a lot of friends down with flu-a. What's the general opinion on it

Good to get.
From my doc:
“It’s not that you won’t get the flu, it’s if you get the flu, it won’t be as severe and also a minimal chance it turns into pneumonia.”

Some years I have and some years not. Never had a negative impact from a flu shot.
