Started getting plantar fasciitis over the last few months and before doing anything else, I checked TD for input. Gonna try some of these recommendations.

Arches don’t need support. They are the support. Strengthen them.

Dealt with it a couple of times in my 53 years. Both times I was wearing shoes with not so good soles.

Look into Brooks or Hoka’s. As for the injury part of this, you might need to rehab it in PT. A steroid injection will settle the inflammation down as you start taking the corrective actions.

Had it a while back-
Got the shot but podiatrist recommemded what most posted already.
Def the right shoe.

Rolling Golf ball or frozen water bottle under the foot did wonders for me also

Great suggestions so far. I'd add using a massage gun, and the TENS machine.

Also, wearing sandals with the "massage" nubs on them can bring some relief.

As I stated before, our natural condition is barefoot. Treating it with cusions, orthotics, etc. Doesn't work and by the time your in your seventies you are wearing soo much support you look like you are back in the 70's rocking platforms.

Go barefoot, work your feet by exercising. You can do it watching TV, etc. Many S&C coaches will tell you that the muscles in your feet are just like all the rest. Why would anyone use them less and expect goid results.

My heels hurt mostly in the morning if I don't stretch it real good after waking up. Or anytime I sit still for a prolonged period. If I have been walking around, I wouldn't even know I have PF.

Been lingering since June.

All of this. I'll add that we all need to include some stability work. Highly recommend the Mobo Board and/or the Soulmate for strengthening feet/toes/ankles and increasing stability. Try to do three sessions a week for 30 mins. Jumping rope is also excellent.

I chose to strengthen my feet. Tibialis raises, calf raises, soleous raises, and dragging a weighted sled backwards eliminated mine. I’ll also add wearing zero drop or minimalist footwear as much as possible or exercising barefoot.

Great responses...I chose the same path as Aubie Spr96. I would add

1. Consistency around a strength / stretching workout. The first time I had PF, i strengthened my feet and it went away. I stopped the workout and it came back in a few months.
2. Flip flops are evil. I use to wear them all day and this was the first thing i ditched. They make your toes over grip.
3. Knees over Toes
4. Toe Spacers
5. Ankle Mobility - I use an Axis balance board

I found a barefoot farmer's carry to be beneficial.
